I am moving to a fortnightly cycle… so 4 days a fortnight will not kill me. Actually 4 days a week will also not kill me but I will not be able to sustain that for more than 6 months as I will lose too much mass. I do take vitamin c everyday… still haven’t found a good amount… 1000mg or should I take more… I hate that my urine is all yellow after taking so much stuff. I take 20mg of Cialis every fortnight at the moment. Bloody expensive at $5 each

The rationale for going to a fortnightly cycle is to allow me to exercise better and eat more junk food. LOL. I like my rice and bread.

I am sure new records will be broken soon. 135??? I rather be reborn all over again than to be old.

It’s funny that you mention your urine being yellow from supplements. Mine seems to be usually crystal clear (with exceptions).

Maybe you need to drink more water?

I don’t know what planet you live in, but for us on earth we get them (without e prescription even) 200 pills of cialis 20mg for $7which works out to about 3 cents per a 20 mg pill and I cut it in 4 which makes it about 1/2 penny per day. Ok, let’s see some other stuff you wrote. First I would love to know what on earth a fortnight is? Second NEVER and I do mean Never eat bread. Rice is ok but it must be white rice and it must be organic. Plus you wash it many times before boiling it and boil it for about 2-3 minutes and wash it one more time then boil it again for about 20 minutes. All arsenic must have escaped by now and it is delicious to eat.

As for vit c probably you are good enough with 1000mg per day except in flu season where it should be at 3000-4000mg per day and same for L- Lysine. Last exactly 18 years I have Never had a flu or cold or covid etc… Before finding this remedy I used to get the nastiest flu and colds that tended to last for over 10 days, and I would always get it at least twice per year and sometimes three times. So vit c and lysine for me was godsend. I did however get infected couple time by a bacteria though. In other words vit c and lysine will protect against all variants of cold virus but will do zilch for bacteria.

If some dude in here or yourself know a remedy (other than antibiotics) for bacteria then I would gladly listen to your suggestions. So far have not been able to find a preventative thing for bacteria though I’ve been experimenting with some new stuff lately and I feel I might have found something that may work. Will see. As for fasting in my opinion it is absolutely the best thing one can do for their healthspan and perhaps even longevity.

I drink lots of water… I have to … I only drink distilled water LOL… that is how scared I am of the local water supply, yes I am in Australia… .but their pipe network is old. It takes a few hours to go back to white but maybe because I am borderline diabetic type 2, my urine is rarely clear even with lots of water. must be the sugar.

I love my ice cream and chocolates and all the unhealthy stuff… even though I don’t eat them everyday. I am pretty fussy with my food. I dont like chocolates by itself or in cakes but I love them in combination with nuts and biscuits…etc.

Damn are you ever lucky you met me on these boards. What on green earth do you mean that you drink a lot of water? Don’t you know that people over drinking water is one of the most dangerous things one can do for their health? It totally wreaks havoc on your immune system, ands washes out all the essential minerals and substances. I list people drinking too much water in top 5 most dangerous things that people are doing with their habits (against health).

People should NEVER EVER drink water if they are not thirsty. There is absolutely no reason why you would want to drink water if you are not thirsty. The dehydration thing is a stupid myth. If you don’t exercise you could go without water for days and still be fine yet some bozo (must have been some doctor or doctors sponsored by Poland springs company or another water company) somehow invented the idea that people should drink water all day long…you are not supposed to eat unless you are hungry (even then in moderation) you don’t have sex if you are not aroused, you don’t pee if you don’t have the urge to pee, then why the hell would you want to drink water all day long if you are not thirsty…As matter of fact the best think is to drink as little water as possible, unless you are thirsty. For example, I did not exercise today and drank 1 cup and half of water all day long and drank a coffee. I weigh 240lbs and according to water gods I should be drinking at least 10 glasses lol. Are you kidding me, I would be looking and moving like a fattened cow if I did that. Long story short, stop drinking water please. It is very dangerous, perhaps not as dangerous as overeating, but pretty close.

I can’t emphasize enough only drink water if you are thirsty and never one sip more, which basically means in a day with no activity 2-3 glasses max. If you stay 2 hours sweating in the gym, then there is no need to measure how much you would need to drink since your body will tell you anyway.

While it is possible for you to drink too much water, most people don’t drink enough. Coffee doesn’t count. I definitely need to drink more water to be healthy.

to each their own but I don/t get it. I really think that our bodies are very smart (smarter than us) and will let us know when it needs something (if we listen/see it carefully). Obviously, you need water and quite a bit, but our bodies will definitely tell us if we need to drink (like with many other functions). I used to drink a lot of water myself we have a cooler at work, but I was gaining weight galore, and would be bloated/ feel full all day long. Then i came to realization that there was no need for me to drink that much water and now I drink much less. Even now I drink 2L of water for 3-4 hours of golfing but that is because I get thirsty. I also have a theory that if we don’t drink too much water aur muscles/bodies become firmer and healthier looking, and not wobbly looking.

I guess as long as my urine is on the yellowish side I’ll drink water. Once it clears up to very weak yellow I’ll stop. Yes I used to drink lots of water everyday. Since reading about cardiac arrest due to diluted calcium in the blood, I supplement myself with enough calcium. Interesting perspective which I’ll look up more on.

On the one hand, I am always looking for news that disputes the benefits of supplements I take so that I can shorten my stack. On the other hand, I am always looking for something new that has immediate or future benefits on my health. At my age, my number one concern is protecting my brain.

I am already a fan of vitamin B6 which has many benefits. I take a multivitamin that contains most of the B vitamins.
Today I came across this article that claims supplementing with 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone, 7,8-DHF, (available from Amazon) may help B6 to be more effective in the brain.

“We were already able to show in earlier studies that genetically switching off the vitamin B6-degrading enzyme pyridoxal phosphatase in mice improves the animals’ spatial learning and memory capacity”

7,8-Dihydroxyflavone switches off the enzyme pyridoxal phosphatase.

“In our experiments, we identified a natural substance that can inhibit pyridoxal phosphatase and thus slow down the degradation of vitamin B6,” explains the pharmacologist. The working group was actually able to increase vitamin B6 levels in nerve cells that are involved in learning and memory processes. The name of this natural substance: 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone."

Because of the anecdotal evidence from reviews on Amazon, I will try it.
The anecdotal evidence is the effect is almost immediate.
Because this supplement is meant to improve brain function perhaps younger minds will have no benefit. I will supplement with it for 30 days and if it has no subjective effects or no measurable effects I will stop.

Anyone currently taking 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone, 7,8-DHF?

Also known as Chrysin, typical low bio-availability as with most flavonoids. I had some interest in this compound when it was hyped as an aromatase inhibitor… but it doesn’t work in humans. Only in vitro :frowning:

Also from the actual study… “In vitro activity assays” basically it’s currently a theoretical intervention that “may” someday work in humans when the bio-availability problem can be addressed and tested in humans.

Surely with all the supplements we are taking, they are all affected by the stomach acid. Is there a better way to deliver them? Perhaps a custom pill for each one of us with what we want??? Is there any supplements that are not affected by the stomach acid?

One could try popping your supplements in as a suppository.

Is it possible? Would the dosage change?? Example every time we take 1000mg of vitamin C, how much do we actually get???

I have absolutely no idea at all. It is just a suggestion to bypass the stomach acid. I have never tried it.
You will need to do your own n=1 experimentation.

I think it would be easier to find a way to raise the PH of the stomach temporarily (reduce the acidity). Baking soda with water seems to do a good job… but is it a good idea??? I wonder how it will affect my rapamycin dosage… hmmmm apparently drinking some baking soda water everyday is suppose to be good I read somewhere… anyone doing that?
