I contacted their support to inquire but was ignored.
I try one more time by email and then give up on them.

So just spitballing here
Apparently “Gray hair melanocyte oxidation” refers to the process where the melanocytes (pigment-producing cells) within hair follicles experience oxidative stress, leading to a decline in melanin production and resulting in the appearance of gray hair
I wonder if topical methylene blue would be capable of “rescuing the melanocytes” given its powerful anti-oxidant effects ?

Has anyone tried topical latanoprost + minocycline for gray hair and beard? I tried mixing the two and it seems to work. As is known, f2 alpha agonists like latanoprost stimulate melanogenesis in the hair follicle and patients using these drugs for glaucoma experience increased pigmentation in their irises, eyelashes and around their eyes.

I tried topical bimatoprost on eyebrows for awhile and didnt notice any change.
If you get results with this combination, that would be exciting news! Please report back.

Arey has a terrible shampoo. I typically don’t care that much about shampoos but this made my hair matte and super dry - it would clamp up with static electricity after brushing. I even tried mixing it with an oily conditioner but helped very little. I had to terminate the experiment.

I used to use latisse on lashes and brows and it made a noticeable difference for me. However, I have heard there is an ingredient in there that can reduce the fat pads around your eyes, so I stopped.

As I get ready to add some colored gloss to my hair, it occurred to me to share what I use.
For those of you men who are interested in coloring your hair, but prefer to have a more natural result that is more seamless when it grows out than what permanent dyes usually provide…
I use Redken Shades EQ colored glosses. I have been using these for 25 years just because it’s a nice way to enhance your color and provide extra shine. They are fool proof and don’t damage your hair.
They can only alter your color a tiny bit, and because it’s not a permanent color, it can only help blend grays, to soften them. This technique is better for those who don’t have much grey.
It’s a salon only product, but you can buy it for home use on eBay or a few other places. If this is of interest, you might want to pay to have it done professionally once in order for a pro to choose the best color option for you.
If you like it, you buy a bottle of shades eq gloss AND the shades eq developer. If you use a different developer that is too strong, as one would use for permanent color, you can potentially damage your hair.
There are some other brands who offer this, but Redken is the most popular so most likely the most accessible?
FYI, I’m trialing out the new R and Co version because I hear it’s a little more opaque. I wouldn’t use this for the lengths of my hair, but this might be nice for my roots as I’m now getting more grey. I barely had any until my late 50s… it was a good run

I second this Beth. I stopped coloring my grays 6 years ago but I continue to use their toner on my highlights to brighten and shine my hair.

I was wondering if latisse (or a less expensive version- as I see rapadmin linked) would be good for limited application on our scalps to thicken and darken our hair.
Maybe at the part?
Did anyone ever experiment with this?
EDIT: I see there was a quick discussion of this product that seems to contain a version of latisse. A combo of the eye drops and minoxidil seems like that would be appealing. I don’t know enough about finasteride or if that one is appropriate for women.
I just found this product which I’ll read more about. Perhaps there are too many molecules.
It contains tretinion, which I once heard is good for the scalp, but I haven’t tried it.
Also, minoxidil (I currently use this aprox 3x per week as a preventative)
Dutasteride which seems to be an alternative to finasteride
And 3 other things: spironolactone, ketoconazole, hydrocortisone

The owner of my compounding pharmacy offers a test that apparently shows the cause of your hair loss in order to treat it properly. I don’t have hair loss yes and mostly looking to prevent age related thinning, so I haven’t done it, but perhaps it would be a good idea before using a product similar to musely.

Beth, I was thinking along those lines as well and actually put one 3ml bottle of bimatoprost with some distilled water and ethoxydiglycol in a 100 ml spray bottle for scalp application but unfortunately never got around to applying regularly. It’s a very amateur concoction and I have no idea if it is strong enough to do anything. I still have it on hand though so I’ll try it out.
Most people would be impressed with my hair (it’s literally probably my best feature) but I can tell it’s thinner than when I was younger.

I’m in the same exact boat… my best feature and it looks fine, but when I see pictures of the olden days, I’m like, hey, where did all that hair go
Let me know if you have any success!!! The hair goes far covering up the old face!!

I remember being a teenager and sometimes seeing women from behind and thinking they were my age because of their hair and youthful figure until they turned around! I’m that person now but see it from a different perspective and I’m thankful for hair and a youthful figure. I can’t have it all but I’ll keep trying!!!

2 months. I get it from the Carefirst pharmacy and their “foam” formula that includes 10% minoxidil, finasteride and bimatoprost irritates my scalp. hence, I prefer regular 5% minoxidil foam. Also there was no noticeable extra regrowth or effect on my grey hair vs regular minoxidil foam. To put things in perspective I’m Norwood 2 and don’t have many grey hair to speak of. Further trying to restore the hair that I lost 4 decades ago is a challenge. In my opinion microneedling + minoxidil is superior to very expensive carefirst formula.
