anything specific re blood serum?

Serum to check advanced metabolic markers such as homocysteine, CRP, NMR particle size lipid panel, carbohydrate metabolism (fasting insulin, A1c, etc…), look for autoimmune, vitamin D, anemia panel, full hormones.

sorry, know this was a year old, but what on green earth is: Apollo?lol and where do you buy it?

What type of device do you use for those body parts? (interested for my knees)

What bio markers is this?

@neo. MitoRedLight MitoPro 300. It’s a tabletop lamp which makes it versatile but imperfect for rounded body parts. The red/IR lamp has been very effective for skin issues (poison ivy itch), joint pain in elbow, wrist, shoulder. Not effective for knee pain. I don’t have a hypothesis for why it does not work for my knees.

What has helped me with knee pain: physical therapy, analgesic cream, massage gun on tendons, foam roller and lacrosse ball on quads and hip flexors. Work in progress.

Good luck. Be patient.

Thank you @约瑟夫_拉维尔. Much appreciated.

You must be a billionaire, because a multimillionaire can’t justify such price lol

I would be careful with fagodia agrestes.

At least read the studies cited here before you decide to take it long term.

Ya, thanks. I cycle Fagodia week on/week off with that in mind. I’m getting blood work done (including kidney & liver markers) this coming month so I’ll keep a close eye on those numbers.

I recently started it every day at same dose as the poster. I have issues with cold sores (esp after shaving under nose) and have had shingles before. I’ve already noticed a reduction in cold sores after about 2-3 weeks. I’d also seen before the suggestion that reducing herpes virus in the body through antivirals could help with dementia or Alzheimers. I asked doc to prescribe due to cold sores, and plan to keep taking it.

There are other ways to help with he gut lining: Glutamine, Colostrum and Zinc Carnosine come to mind

Nothing compares to his version of Stars Fell on Alabama.

Update. I recently rediscovered a surprisingly effective treatment for my knee pain. I wrap my knees in large ice packs after each workout. It’s not as cold as ice; they are leftovers from my daughter’s ankle surgery. I can leave the wraps on for 20 minutes without getting numb. It is so effective I can’t believe it.

Since many people have asked me to share my regimen, here is the main gist of it:

High carb, moderate protein diet, rich in fruits, vegetables, berries and nuts. Important staples are cocoa powder/dark chocolate, vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. I eat twice a day and sometimes skip a meal and occasionally fast for a day.

Supplements

Multivitamin
Relatively high doses of B vitamins, vitamin C, D, and E (with all eight tocopherols and tocotrienols) and K (K1 and K2)
Relatively high doses of calcium, magnesium, chromium and zinc
Lecithin
Carotenoids (lutein, lycopene, astaxanthin)
Green tea extract
Ginkgo biloba
Fish oil (for omega-3)
Few grams each of TMG, creatine, taurine and arginine
R-ALA
Glucosamine
Melatonin

Rx’s

Rapamycin
Metformin
Acarbose

Other

I lift weights regularly and sometimes do low or high intensity cardio. I maintain a very low body fat percentage. I avoid being in the sun a lot and use sunscreen regularly. I take blood tests occasionally to identify and tackle weak points in my health.

Do you measure your cholesterol or apoB?

Yes, for cholesterol measurments I test LDL, HDL, ApoB and ApoA.

Ok I was wondering why you don’t use a cholesterol lowering medication in your stack as its hard to reach levels where ASCVD becomes irrelevant without them.

I have always had very low cholesterol levels ever since I first measured it. A lot of that seems to be attributed to good genetics, but in addition, I have had a healthy lifestyle and low body fat all my adulthood and that definitely helps. FYI I did a trial on and off rapamycin and my LDL was 62 and ApoB 60 when not taking it and the LDL was 63 and ApoB 64 when taking it for a while so I seem to also be lucky in rapamycin not having a major effect on my lipids.

Decreasing from LDL 63 and ApoB 64 has benefits to between 30 and 40. My apoB has been 55 and 59 but I am targeting between 30 and 40 if not a bit lower.
