Those are just anecdotes subject to lots of confounding effects, bias, and short term results. TRT should only be used if prescribed by a doctor and for a medical reason, like low testosterone, IMO.

My point is there are actual treatments with real data for all of the things you’re mentioning, and you might be falling into the trap of choosing a treatment with bias rather than evaluating all options objectively and based on the best data available. If you actually scout the entire field I don’t think testosterone for a person with normal testosterone levels will come up as beneficial in a risk vs. reward calculation as a top option for any of those things.

In fact you might be better off not doing anything at all and just waiting, many of those cases can just be regression to the mean. But if you are going to do something I would look at the top options based on real data, preferably clinical trials.

I bought 250mg α-Estradiol from “Aladdin” in this website.

In the description of the webpage, I found this information “Solubility → Solvent:ethanol, Max Conc. mg/mL: 27.24”

I don’t know much about chemistry, I want to try sublingual. I am male aged 34. I decided to buy some drinking alcohol (contain 50% or 75% ethanol), How much drinking alcohol (contain 50% or 75% ethanol) do I need to completely dissolve 250mg α-Estradiol ?

Thanks for your help.

@man_li Even with knowledge of chemistry something like this might not be safe. Please please always focus on safety- including when deciding what to not do.

Why not just use pharmaceutical Estriol which recently shown benefit in ITP like this one, and avoid problems with purity and difficulty of use?

Any reference information show benefit in ITP with Estriol ?

All the benefits I know now are about 17 α-Estradiol with male.

I found commercial forms of estriol include creams and tablets. I found these drugs manufactured in India. Are they the same molecules which have been tested in ITP ? Thanks

Cream: Evalon Estriol Cream, 15 g at Rs 509 in Nagpur | ID: 2853285190233

Tablet: Estriol Evalon 1mg Tablet, Prescription, Harmone Replacement Therapy at Rs 152/stripe in Nagpur

Yes it’s the same, I don’t know the dosing or anything else.

Does anyone has exams pre and post usage of alfatradiol on hair? Really want to see the degree of systemic absorption. I used it myself back in 2016, but at that time I didnt measure the hormones. Now it is harder to find in my country

Do you mean measuring systemic absorption by checking 17-alpha estradiol? Anyway, there is a company (apohealth.de) I know that ships this out of Germany worldwide:

Actually by measuring 17b-estradiol and testosterone.

I’ve seen some studies (in monkeys) showing that alfatradiol may enhance 17b estradiol production and lower the T levels. But it was high dosage and orally, they have never made good studies on topical usage with low doses like 0.75mg. The study on monkeys were like 15mg orally.

Just to clarify - are people here mixing this with transcutol and applying to the skin with a dropper for systemic absorption? Any noticeable effects?

The one I posted is premixed.

Doesn’t look like it’s mixed with transcutol though

From a chemical data sheet, looks like DMSO and ethanol are solvents for our new best friend:)

It’s been about a year and a half since DrEcsta gave a report on his use of 17 Alpha Estradiol. If anyone knows how to contact him let me know. I want to hear more about his story.

Have members been using the 17-alpha estradiol serum in their hair on a daily basis? Any changes in hair density? Wondering if it could have effects (in a female) if you don’t experience thinning yet, and still have a scalp full of hair (knocking on wood).
Does application result in greasiness? (Can’t wash scalp too often as mentioned, because of fine hair and lots of knots to detangle if I do). Thanks!

As someone who used alfatradiol in the past, it didn’t help as a mono-therapy treatment nor did it help when used in conjunction with finasteride. I once emptied half a bottle on my head out of frustration and my breast tissue hurt that day. On the upside, it does not leave your hair greasy like topical minoxidil would.

Thanks so much for sharing, that’s helpful - albeit a pity to hear. Sorry to hear it didn’t work for you.

 I can totally see myself doing the same thing. It does seem to indicate some potential systemic absorption, albeit likely minimal at ‘normal’ doses.
