That may be counter to longevity.
Quite possibly, although I think many of the risks (high BP, lipids, HCT) can be managed, if they were even to appear at such a dose. I guess there’s other concerns (e.g cardiomyopathy, immunosuppression), but I think that’s mainly with supraphysiological doses.
Really my biggest concern would be my hair, but I’m already on finasteride, and I’ve still got minoxidil and RU-58841 in my back pocket (although there’s concerns with those, otherwise I’d already be on them).
Then there’s also the frequent injections, possibility of HPTA shutdown and testicular atrophy, so it’s really not a decision that anyone should make lightly. But I figure if it doesn’t give me a psychological edge, then I can just PCT back to natural.
That might have the opposite effect.
If you’re going to “recreationally” use steroids, I’d wait until you are at least 25 if you aren’t.
There’s way better drugs or therapies than steroids for that.
It might, and it might not. At the end of the day, you have to treat symptoms, not numbers. I’ve read plenty of reports now where people had normal levels, yet still obtained significant increases in confidence, motivation, libido, QoL, etc. In those cases, it’s hard to argue that TRT wasn’t the best therapy for the job.
I do appreciate the concern, because this isn’t a decision anyone should make lightly, even if it’s just to test the waters.
