An interesting new presentation by Eric Verdin, talking about the work of Lee Hood and Nathan Price who have partnered with the Buck Institute now:
what I’m showing you on the right is what happens if you Hispanic versus black versus white versus Japanese it turns out if you are a Japanese and you’re E4 E4, you’re 35% likely to get Alzheimer’s but if you’re Hispanic you’re only 2% so this is really a good example of um of sort of multigenic type effect that we can we should be able to measure and so this is an extreme examples there are.
