I’m curious why we wouldn’t consider your reaction to be a hyperactive immune response due to Rapamycin and not an immunosuppressed response? At high doses, we see immunosuppression, whereas, aren’t all bets off when using low, intermittent doses? Furthermore, with the low doses, there is existing evidence that the immune system is primed and vaccines (admittedly, after a two week washout), we’re even more effective. And, there were those who posited that getting the vaccine with concomitant low dose rapa may make the vaccine response even more robust in the elderly subjects.
I’m not claiming to have the answers, and certainly am not suggesting that your experience has nothing to do with rapa. Rather, I’m just wondering if this could be an increased immune reaction.
