My father-in-law has been battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer for just over 2 years. It appears the chemotherapy is no longer working. Does anyone have any suggestions of anything that he can try to slow the cancer down? The doctors say that it is terminal and slowing it down is the best we can do.

Would Rapamycin help?

Michael Gregorā€™s grandfather died of pancreatic cancer. Which mean he mightā€™ve invested more time to learn about it.
Heā€™s a semi-psuedoscientist talking the virtues of a WFPB diet, if I had cancer other than using conventional treatments I would look at his website what other things might work for cancer survival, i.e look at breast cancer and other cancers too. I would mostly focus on diet first unless I had more time to look into other things.

Some cancers are at least partially epigenetic in form. It may be that sufficient citrate will actually hold back the cancer. (sufficient being at least 4g per day probably more). I donā€™t know, however.

A lawyer friend who is currently going through treatment for pancreatic cancer suggested this website:

It is said that Steve Jobs was heavily into alternative treatments for his pancreatic cancer. it is said that he held his cancer at bay for quite some time. I do not know what type of C he had or if it is relevant now. But I am sure he got the best alternatives that money can buy. This might not be relevant but his fight can also be a lead to possible alternativs.

I have not tried to study all the various types of cancer. I know that some depend upon aberrant splicings (for which Citrate would be helpful). HDAC inhibition also helps in terms of fighting cancer, but that probably also operates through preventing aberrant splicings and the HDAC inhibitors I use are probably too weak to help here. Melatonin is also suggested at times, but I am not sure what the mechanism is for this.

Sorry to hear this about your father-in-law. I hope this is useful to him this information.

In Attiaā€™s book,{I have the audio version] he spoke/wrote about a person he knows personal who used an ā€œoff labelā€ treatment that put the PC into remission. The treat gave the person permanent type 1 diabetes.

Just doing a "chemotherapy"treatment, not knowing if it will work, such as test the chemotherapy agentā€™s on the cancer cell/cell line a person is not good.

Review

Dr. Robert A. Nagourney, MD is the oncologist to see before any chemotherapy.

Review his work and you will understand why.

Here are 2 articles on using quercetin for pancreatic cancer: Quercetin improves pancreatic cancer chemo-sensitivity by regulating oxidative-inflammatory networks - PubMed and Quercetin Impact in Pancreatic Cancer: An Overview on Its Therapeutic Effects - PubMed.
Many bioflavonoids are known to help prevent cancer, but quercetin specifically is known to overcome chemotherapy resistance for many types of established cancer. I like the reliable company Thorne for their Quercetin Phytosome formulation which is better absorbed.

Johns Hopkins has been able to slow the progression of pancreatic cancer in mice.

Many here are trying to prolong their lives with rapamycin, based on mouse studies. Mebendazole has been used in mice to slow down pancreatic cancer. Mebendazole is related to fenbendazole, the dog anti-helmintic used by Joe Tippens. Mebendazole is the human antihelmintic.

Iā€™m sorry for what your father-in-law is going through. I had stage 3 kidney cancer but luckily surgery was able to remove it (four years clear thus far).

In my desire to prevent spread of anything left, I started a keto diet (an actual ā€œhealthyā€ keto diet, not a gym bro keto diet with keto cookies and ice cream and five pounds of bacon a day). There is a professor at Boston College named Thomas Seyfried who supposedly has good results/luck with ketosis diet and exogenous) combined with traditional cancer treatments. Iā€™ve never spoken with him but have heard a number of talks heā€™s given. I certainly donā€™t want to waste your time with doing research on a far-fetched idea, but if it were me (and it was) Iā€™d consider this on my research list. As an aside I recommended this to a family friend who has terminal cancer and this person said ā€œno way Iā€™m gonna change my diet for anythingā€ so even if this is effective it may not be for everyone. Just my thought.
