So for me… odorless DMSO… 20% with grounded up 6mg Rapamycin added then to 80% of minoxidil 5%… used at bed and in mornings after I shower is definitely regrowing my hair at 1 month and 20 days.

For comparison… May 1st.

RapAdmin, I looked at the PubMed article “Formulation and Characterization of a 0.1% rapamycin cream for the treatment …”, but did not find the formula you mentioned. I did find “The first step of the formulation is solubilisation of rapamycin in Transcutol(®), and the second step is the incorporation of the mixture in an oil-in-water cream”, but no information about how much rapamycin, transcutol, and other ingredients to use. Can you point out where the exact formula is?

Ummm… skunk works . Created it using information provided… if you use more than 20% Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO - odorless) it can irritate and burn the skin… so the DMSO with 6 mg is mixed with pure 5% Minoxidol.
1/5 part DMSO with rapa or 20% mixed with pure store bought 5% Minoxidol 4/5… or 80 %.

I make the DMSO with 6mg rapamycin 1st… in a measuring glass… about 1/4 cup…then added enough 5% Minoxidol to get a full cup… pour into a glass bottle and use eye dropper to apply.

Pics took just now. Seems to be thickening with small hair growth. I expect it to be a few more months for an assessment if it is significant enough.

I am wondering if I need to add 10% metformin to my concoction?
Would be easy enough to grind up and add with the rapamycin and DMSO.

Will see what I can change or improve. Definitely adding metformin starting tonight.

At 64 years… biological 37-ish… lol… not unhappy with very much…

But tweaks are welcomed.

Ahhh… so using Minoxidol as a method to make rapamycin and Metformin soluable to apply wasn’t such a crazy idea.

As I said, I was stymied… then I was inspired that using an existing mode (Minoxidol 5%) that would be enhanced seemed a logical direction.

Stay tuned for the rapa, metformin 5% Minoxidol formula. Might lose what hair I have… hahaha.

Well I am still growing hair steady and sure. I use my solution at bedtime and after washing my hair in the morning Twice a day. It does seem to be working.

I’ve been using more or less what you recommended, with a combo of minoxidil, rapamycin, and transcutol. It seems to be working for me too.

My hair stylist is very impressed. Quizzed me last Tuesday again for her husband’s hair loss problems. She wants the stuff.

She has never seen such a sudden growth of new hair in a few months. She isn’t one for compliments either.

Brutually honest about my receding hair…Lol.

Hahaha - I guess I could do a hair count if I was researching and planning on marketing my brew!. I am not.

When I comb and brush my hair there is significantly more resistance.
Also, when I towel dry my hair and it looks like a teen’s hair all over my head - sticking up … I am gonna go with the physical and visual and my hair dresser -and say it is working.

Now the question is – what is causing this new growth? My 5 ounce brew/solution contains the following: 4 fl. ounce 5% Minoxidil; 3 pills - 6 mg of Rapamycin; 4 pills 500 mg metformin; and recently added in last batch 3 pills of 5 mg finasteride all mixed – dissolved with about 1 fl. ounce of unscented DMSO 99.9%. I am still giving it a few more months!

Very strong opinion that its minoxidil and additional finasteride and not Rapamycin. The hair science is clear here, as they both act on different but important follicular growth pathways.
