You can feed cats a vegan diet. There is vegan cat food nowadays and it’s as healthy and if not healthier.

I tried vegan but I ended up doing 2 plant protein smoothies per my 6 hour eating window per day and it kinda sucked. And I didn’t feel a good rebound the next day. I don’t see how a person can hit weights and cardio and intermittent fasting everyday unless you are a youngster. I’d worry about sarcopenia coming on. But if you want vegan then make a tiny exception: 1/2 ounce raw liver blended in cranberry juice per day and you won’t need ant supplements due to deficiency of the vegan diet and I don’t think you’ll spike mtor much because you are already holding it down 18 hours a day.

There is nothing wrong with supplements. Many of us take supplements, and pharmaceutical drugs (like rapamycin).

Yep I take rapa once a week but I workout extremely hard everyday

But the cats that ate a carnivore diet were much happier than the vegan cats.
“Unlike dogs and other omnivores, cats are true (so-called “obligate”) carnivores: They meet their nutritional needs by consuming other animals and have a higher protein requirement than many other mammals”

I don’t believe there are bones in the raw. It is a prepacked from the supermarket. I try to avoid overfeeding my cat and keep her lean. I’m trying to figure out how to put rapamycin into her food. Maybe into the raw once a week.

People who make their cats vegan ought to be jailed. That is torture on many levels. Just like I won’t feed my goats meat… that is stupidity.

Being a vegan you’ll have more energy but you’ll not be as strong as you could be. I love my steaks. I’m going to make one for breakfast lol

People who don’t base their opinions on science shouldn’t use technology.

This thread certainly has a lot to wrap your head around. But I’m still pondering “How Long do Vegan Cats Live?”. I’ll probably dream about that all night.

Thinking isn’t your strong suit, is it?

Let’s not bicker. The data so far show that cats do perfectly well on a properly formulated vegan diet. There isn’t long term data yet so it is fine to say you aren’t going to feed a cat a vegan diet until there is another decade of data or so.
Anyway the kind of person who wants to feed their cat a vegan diet is unlikely to get a cat in the first place since cats decimate local bird populations. We are talking about a very small number of cats here.

I was not aware, but I guess these days they can add all the supplementation needed, so I’m not surprised.
I’m all in on a vegan diet for myself. It’s no secret that vegans can have all the muscle and strength they want, so I am not sure why seemingly smart meat eaters don’t realize this yet.
Having said that, I won’t be feeding my cats a vegan diet. I do appreciate you sharing that it’s an option!

My 5 cats have never touched a bird in our protected courtyard, even baby birds hopping around them as they nap, fwiw. I realize this is not normal, but all cats don’t go after birds. They have killed aprox 4 mice out of the 50 they’ve seen.
When I had two cats 25 years ago, a bird got into my apartment and was not able to fly after hitting a mirror. I came home from work to find one cat just following him and gently sniffing him. The other cat was napping and had no interest.

I just hate hit-and-run hand grenade comments… Sorry!!! We’ve spent too many $10k’s going to keto, low carb, health and medical conferences, read too many books to believe even the periods in such a crazy and to me “planted” (LOL) piece by the vegarian, 7th Day Advantists, WHO org, WEF, UN, all are trying to push factory made protein (soilent green) on the world. In a deluded (sorry for color) view that factory protein (plant inputs), or just plants is lower carbon.
My take; just move on, this is counter to everything DNA, Ancestrally, my understanding of science, nutrition etc.
Sorry for not linking 1000’s of peer reviewed gold standard studies. But crazy titles like this are; crazy. Unless you have a believe in conspiracy theory re the WEF, WHO, Religious orgs etc…
Can anyone honestly say Bryan Johnson, the vegetarian millionaire bio-hacker looks healthy? To my wife and I, he’s instantly recognizable as a mal nourished vegetarian; pasty pale skin and emaciated. Nice he doesn’t age though. He is a nice guy and makes good videos but I have to look away from his looks.
It was just a mater of time before the vegarians came back with counter arguments.
Take care to all, curt

Cats are carnivores, they need raw meat
Dr Pottingers 3 cat study. Avoid raw meat if sterile non reproducing is what you want. Humans are not far removed. Ask your local IVF, reproductive health clinician if their business is up or down.

May be our perception of a healthy man is wrong, and may be those pale emaciated guys will outlive those who we perceive healthy and strong. How come those healthy and strong die so young from CVD and cancer? May be it’s time to change our perceptions of everything if we want to last longer? But to answer your question, I also see BJ as pale and emaciated vegetarian.
