In the past year:
I’ve made no changes of significance to my exercise routine
I’ve made no changes of significance to my diet.
And, no changes to supplements other than minor tinkering out of boredom.

So, did I miss some significant scientific paper or study or lecture? Or has there just not been any huge news of late? Has anyone made any major changes based on something new?

I increased my asthaxantin dose from 12 to 24mg, and I think that’s it.

I started daily teaspoon of taurine and creatine in my coffee one year ago because of these topics below… great benefits in reversed osteopenia to normal from DEXA comparison and also periodontal disease from several 4’s back to normal 3’s my dental x-rays.

My significant six drugs for health and longevity are: taurine, rapamycin, finasteride, tadalafil, TRT (FDA report to be on testosterone package label does not increase risk of cardic issues) and creatine . Past month – after chats with some respected members in this community - I began experimenting with HGH - more on that in 4 months.

FDA removing language from the Boxed Warning related to an increased risk of adverse cardiovascular outcomes for all testosterone products.

I am taking the cheap stuff, but now in quantity of astaxanthin. I’m convinced.

Also you may be doing this already, but Pectasol is amazing and I added alginate by the same company. Since I have been bathing in Glyphosate since the '70s when it came out. And both bind heavy metals on top of their other properties.

I’m doing 4 grams of Taurine every morning. In the evening it messes with my sleep, morning no problem.

I agree these are not major changes, just fiddling around the edges.

A year ago, I didn’t know that astaxanthin bioavailability is much lower in mice than humans. Without this information, it seemed that taking an effective dose (human equivalent based on allometric scaling from ITP) wasn’t practical. Now that I know better, it looks like the standard 12mg dose could be very effective. I’m going to start it.

A new paper in the last year also showed that AC-11 could be beneficial for epigenetic age. I tried it for four months and didn’t notice much.

I just did a quick google on this, but I’d love to hear what makes it amazing for you?

Oh it has great cancer fighting properties:

And my daughter (mucinous ovarian) and sister in law (colorectal) both had cancer about a year ago and both got over it entirely. Daughter didn’t even use any chemo, sister in law did. Both were strong believers in the Pectasol. It’s not a joke.

The article also mentions chelation properties and I have seen other studies on that as well. Most people don’t want to do a chelation challenge and in some states it’s even illegal. This is safe and already saving you from cancer. Bonus, gets rid of heavy metals which by the way also causes heart disease and inflammation.

The article talks about heart disease too.

So maybe if you have no health problems at all, then it won’t help but in the real world I think this stuff is a no brainer.

Longevity news has slowed dramatically over the past year. The latest biggest events that I remember are the annual ITP results, taurine, and the marmoset study.

Personally the biggest change I made was adding creatine and upping astaxanthin to 24 mg daily. I also changed berberine to dihydroberberine. I lowered my vitamin D3 to 5000 IUs and 10000 IUs Mon Wed Fri.

I did add Galantamine and Dutasteride as well. Dutasteride is better than Finasteride IMHO. Fewer side effects. Galantamine has improved my sleep, dreams and helps me feel more refreshed in the morning.

I also changed my Rapamycin dosage to 4 mg + GFJ weekly. 5 mg + GFJ every two weeks didn’t feel right.

Finally, I dumped all my resveratrol. I probably had 2-3 years left but it was giving me intestinal issues and diarrhea so I just tossed it all. Never going back to that one.

I also modified a few supplements and added a prostate protector supplement.

I did find some old out of data resveratrol, NMN and NR that I have thrown out. I am not sure when I stopped taking these but I don’t think I took any in 2024. My records will tell me if needs be.

Like others, just increased the Astaxanthin.

Also bought a cross trainer so will spend less time sitting on a bike saddle.

I’d like to echo Beth’s question. I’d really like to hear the benefits folks are experiencing from using Astaxanthin.

I am doing another blood test today. When I get the result from last week I will have my first week on calcifediol tablets to look at. Today after the test I will take two tablets a day and the result from next Monday’s test will give me a data point of two tablets a day. I will probably run that for two weeks and then do something else. Not sure what yet.

I still have a lot of the calcifediol liquid. I know that works, but because it comes in drops I am not 100% sure of the dosing accuracy.

Looks like we need a thread with our 2025 regim and the reasoning behind whatever major changes we have done.
