How have your results been? Is it worth it? Do you take it with Ezetimibe?

Hi; i have been taking for 2y. My stack for down my lipid profile includ in addition: Pitavastatin 4mg ( before was rosuvastatin 10; discontinued: Give me leg pain), ezetimibe and citrus bergamot. Since i start RAPA 3.5 y ago, my lipid rise too mach. As i have 1 STENT and i dont intend to add any more. My APOb for now is 60mg/dc and my LDL 62, good range i think .

I’m thinking of giving Bempedoic acid a try to reduce my statin associated muscle pain. I’m finding it is exceedingly expensive in the US. $650.00 for a three month supply with insurance preauth and goodrx coupon. Is everyone going through India for this one or am I missing something regarding cost? I couldn’t find much discussion here re cost.

We’re all going through India for Bempedoic acid (and for many of us Zetia also).

I am taking Bempedoic Acid with 10mg Ezetimibe and 5mg Rosuvastatin. It’s worth it for me, my ApoB levels are consistently very low now.

Before starting Bempedoic Acid, I was on 10mg Ezetimibe and 20mg Rosuvastatin. But was getting side effects from the Rosuvastatin. Adding in Bempedoic Acid has enabled me to reduce the Rosuvastatin whilst keeping my ApoB levels super low…

That’s a really good proven stack that will make you virtually heart disease proof. Good choice. Do check uric acid on bempedoic acid and liver enzymes on EZ+R a couple times to make sure it doesn’t affect you.

Make sure BP is normal, and do the common sense stuff and I believe you got 80% of the benefits of any current strategies (effect of rapa, acarbose, estriol, etc, aside). Cancer is the only one that mostly needs prevention strategy then. :thinking:
