I’ve been taking 10mg Rapamycin weekly for two years. I haven’t seen any side effects. I recently had my annual medical and my blood lipids are stable and in normal range, as are all my other key markers.
I’ve seen some discussion recently on rapamycin perhaps leading to insulin resistance or glucose intolerance. My family tend to type-2 diabetes (in fact it killed my mother) and I’m a little concerned my genetics plus a potential side effect of rapamycin may make this supplement a little self-defeating. I do exercise and watch my diet, so haven’t fallen into the family trap, but it’s obviously a concern,
Can anyone say more on this potential side effect?

What I think most people do is simply monitor this with routine bloods. It is cheap and easy to do a fasting glucose and insulin … plug this into a HOMA-IR calculator and trend it like everything else.
It’s an individual thing - I think most individuals have a tiny bit of worsening of insulin sensitivity, but for most, it isn’t clinically significant.

Age is a very big factor in side effects. When young, can do many things that a 70+ yo cannot get away with. It is best to state your age in order for people to respond to your inquires. Good Luck

As others have mentioned here, just monitor your blood sugar levels. You may want to review these past discussions related to this topic:
