d-limonene completely clears the garlic taste and smell of DMSO. just add 10g d-lim per 8oz of dmso, it will turn into the color and smell faintly of oranges instead. huge difference; wife-approved.

Thank you so much for this! Can you share how much transcutol you used to mix up your rapa? Thanks!

Are there any disadvantages to using a compounded Rapa pill for the cream? I’m using the agelessrx.com’s 15mg pill for my concoction.

There shouldn’t be. Though you probably want to filter out the covering or remove the capsule from the mixture and just use the powder, to remove any grittiness (not sure if the pills are tablets or capsules).

Hello

I have access to rapamune 1mg/ml here.

Any tips on how to transform it into a cream?
Thanks!

Thanks so much for this post! I realize it is a few years old now but still great! Can someone help me with the math? I am trying to figure the percentage of rapa in this mix. If I ounce equals 28350 mg. how would you figure the rapa percentage?
If you convert 1.7 oz. to mg .you get 48195 mg.
So do you divide the 6 mg of rapa by 48195 to get 0.0001244942?
That doesnt sound right. what am i doing wrong? Can someone help me? Thanks!

I would go with a simple illustration for this so we can see what some easy to do percent of the big number (48195) is  That helps to understand where you are trying to get to and is a Test of ones thought process.

Test
10% of 48,195 = 4819.5
1% = 482mg (rounded up)
0.1% = 48mg
0.01% = 4.8mg

So it looks like 6 will be closer to 0.01%

In this case I’d first add the 2 together as that will be the whole;
48195 + 6 = 48201 total weight
Then divide 6 by 48201 = 0.000124
To get percent multiply 0.000124 x 100 = 0.0124% - this is the step you were missing

The test above, indicates this is the correct percent.

Did you end up applying the lotion once or twice a day? I just made up some but instead of 6 mg like you I used 10. Mixed that with a little trans cutal and then mixed that with 1.7 oz of Neutrogena hydro boost water cream. I just don’t remember if folks are applying it once a day or twice a day. I just got my before pictures taken and can’t wait to take after pictures in a few months!

In the original study they did once every day or every two days… Rapamycin May Slow Skin Aging (Drexel U. Study)

I generally used it in the evening when I went to bed, when I was using it.

If you scroll up to the top post of this thread there is a recipe for lotion but basically you crush up your rapa pills really well then you add the smallest amount of transcutol you can and mix it with the pills. I crushed up 6 pills and used 1/2 of a teaspoon of transcutol to mix with them. Then a think I added a touch more, a bit less than the 1/2 teaspoon the second time. The object is to try and not make your lotion any runnier than you need to. But you do need the transcutol for some reason (not just water) and someone on here can explain why better than i can, lol I let my pills sit in the transcutol for about 10 minutes or so, not sure if you even need to but i wanted to make sure they were really dissolved so my lotion didnt feel gritty. After the 10 minutes you mix your transcutol and pill mixture into your lotion. You can use any kind of lotion you like, i used Neutrogena Hydroboost water cream. I think it was a 1.7 oz. jar. I used a little hand mixer like in the recipe above. You want to mix it really well. i set a timer for 10 minutes and mixed away until the timer went off. Wala! You have rapa lotion. I put it on my face, neck hands and lower arms every night before bed. I took a bunch of before pics and will check every month with new pics to look any progress. Next time I think I will use up my Cerave Ve lotion just because I have it here already. Good luck!
Oh, and one more thing, if you scroll up just a little bit until you find @Steve_Combi 's post about how to figure the strength of your lotion as a percentage and follow his instructions he makes it soooo easy. it was a huge help to me!
