I remember a controversy regarding aluminum and dementia more than twenty years ago. Several studies had documented accumulation of aluminum in Alzheimer’s brains. Of course that was not necessarily causal. Diseased brains accumulate all kinds of crap since the csf does not wash it out properly. I would prefer not to have anything plastic near my brain, but this seems like a lot of hype all of a sudden. Meanwhile, high fructose corn syrup and fentanyl are definitely killing thousands a year! Lead remains a huge concern for the brain, yet is seldom mentioned. I have yet to see anything documenting exactly how Teflon harms the body… I’m not saying micro plastics are not a concern, but I’ll bet there are type 2 diabetics more afraid of their plastic soft drink bottle than the deadly contents.
