Yes, I know aspartame is not the one to pick. What is the one? Allulose looks good and I use it, also trehalose, though expensive is good. Inulin has upset my stomach one too many times and I’m quitting it for a while.

So aspartame consumption that is associated with the harmful effects in the study is around 12 mg/kg/day which is about 4-6 diet sodas per day for a 70-kg person.
Unless you’re crushing diet cokes all day, I wouldn’t get too worked up about it.

No diet coke for my pet mouse.
I used to drink that many diet cokes everyday…easily a 6-pack a day (no coffee or tea for my caffeine). That isn’t a lot of soda (that’s like 1 Big Gulp, may my Father rest in peace). I gave up soda in 2009 but had many gallons over the years. If I drank soda I’d worry about it.

I’m playing with Xylitol for oral microbiome support.

The study is based on poor science and would ignore it.
