I believe their capsules are enteric coated. I’ve had demonstrable benefit from their Neprinol (natto-, serratipeotudase and amla).

Their Neprinol page does state that it’s in an acid-resistance capsule (in the “FAQS” section). The page for Nattovena page doesn’t say anything similar. :man_shrugging:

I’d be interested in hearing more about the benefits that you observed with Neprinol. I might try it after my course of Nattovena.

I’ve been taking 35+ supplements twice a day for at least 2 years. I do not take rapa yet but I am looking at it.

I’ve been taking 4,000FU twice per day for a total of 8,000FU/day (DoubleWood nattokinase) for over a year and starting in 2024 started taking 6,000FU twice per day for a total of 12,000FU/day.

I’ve run no tests before or after. I asked for a CAC and Drs said no so far. Had an aortic valve replacement and 3-way bypass in late 2017.

I am trying to do everything that I can to extend my life and get my cardiovascular disease under control.

About sixteen years ago a carotid scan was pretty bad (3/5 Framingham quintile but 5-years risk). I did nine months of Neprinol 3x3/day in empty stomach and a course of EDTA -IV. My lipids are genetically bad to boot. After that period redid scan and there was a nearly zero score. Three more months doing Neprinol 3x1/ day, it was then zero. I now do annual 30-day Neprinol of 3x1/day. Last carotid scan about 2 years ago and was completely clean and heart scan was in the teens total and no particular bad spots. This year I switched to cyclodextrin on account of a PRP injection that I didn’t want to interfere with (rotator cuff tear). Hope that helps. I’ll look into where I heard about coating.

The positive natto studies I’ve seen mention that 2,000FU is too low a dose to get any significant results. You need at least 8,000FU, and the optimum number in one study was 10,800FU. So this negative study doesn’t tell us much. It reminds me of the negative Vitamin D studies where participants were given 2000IU (and in some cases even less) and found no benefit (Duh!)

Exactly right! Natto needs to be at the higher dose that you mention.

FWIW I have stated before, I take{for the past 4 months] 15,000FU to 24,000FU everyday.

Each softgel capsule is 3000FU

My father, 62 years old, took Neprinol (9 capsules a day, that is 135,000 FU) for 4 months, after which he had a repeat ultrasound of the neck vessels and the result was absolutely unchanged. But he is still taking it and we will repeat the ultrasound in 12 months from the start of his treatment.

Still doing this? I’m very curious what kind of impact such a high dose has since doses above 10,800FU really haven’t been studied in the literature.

How good is ultrasound for this?

Yes, have been using a liposomal version, has nattokinase and serrapeptase for the last month.

Also take Wobenzym N with it.

That is disappointing, I have had high hopes for Nattokinase/Serrapetase. The quality of the product is important, but the lack of change would require a change in therapy.

FWIW…

The ultrasound shows how clogged the vessels are with atcrosclerotic plaques. I think it’s a perfectly normal way to see if the drug is working

Perhaps 4 months is too short a time to talk about any progress. My father continued the medication and added vitamin K2. He has also been taking rapamycin for over a year now, but it has nothing to do with vascular cleansing.

Supplements are worse for prevention rather than drugs that have clinically meaningful benefits in large studies for outcomes.

It’s also physically impossible to reverse atherosclerosis, it’s a part of the arterial wall. If you did that you’d rip out the entire artery. What you can do is stabilize the plaque and reduce events, there is some regression but total reversal is not possible right now. It comes down to optimizing lipids, keeping them low, stabilizing plaques, blood pressure, etc. That’s done with drugs, not supplements, prescribed by a doctor if you don’t have information yourself, who understands preventative care as not all doctors do. But in older age doctors I think usually are better for prevention.

I had never used Nattokinase nor Serrapetase until literally 3 days ago, but holly what an effect (good one that is). I thought I was coming down with something - feeling groggy and body pains and aches out of nowhere and just so happened that I had ordered Nattokinase and Serra and took them. Instantaneously (after one hour or so) all pain gone, my sinuses cleared (I don’t think I’ve had this clear in long, long time) and I was immersed in this sense of tranquility and wellbeing and rested, so unreal. Having said that, the biggest impact i got was the very first day I used them. I’ve been using them daily since but while I think it totally got rid of inflammation and still very clear breathing/sinuses but Nowhere near the initial feeling I got. Also, a chronic back pain issue that I’ve had for most of my adult life (about a 3-4 on a scale of 10) has totally disappeared since I started these two supplements. If you have pain i think these two work way better than pain medication. btw, I don’t know if it was one or the other or the combination and the fact that they may work synergistically but from now on I’ll never be without them in my cabinet. They are on my Top three supplements.

What dose did you take?

!0000 per day Natto and 480000 SERRA, basically 3 tablets Natto (2=4000) in the morning and 2 at night, and 2 tablets SERRA (2=240000) in the morning and 2 at night. I also bought Lumbrokinase to give it a try. (after having such unbelievable results from these two)

I have had inflammation for a long time, these two are absolutely the best i have ever tried for that purpose and also God sent for aches and pains. Last month or so I started few meds/substances (as i was starting to feel my age, nothing in particular but just a common feeling that I’m sure everyone knows)_ and actually I’ve decided to put everything on hold and stick with these two for the time being (stopped statins, metformin, and EMPA and only keeping 3mgs of Cialis and RAPA).
The results have been so amazing that I’m afraid I have already jinxed it LOL
I’m sure what I’m experiencing is personal, and someone else may not experience exactly the same because they may not have exact same ills that i do ie. excessive inflammation as an example

p.s the only side effect that I “might” have had is perhaps a very small aggravation of tinnitus, which it doesn’t matter to me because I already have it and at times it goes up a notch, and then it drops a nbit by itself, but never disappears. Don’t know if coincidence or if related, but i doubt they would give tinnitus if someone did not have it in first place,

Effective management of atherosclerosis progress and hyperlipidemia with nattokinase: A clinical study with 1,062 participants - PMC Oh, there’s a benefit to Nattokinase, according to the study authors, you need to be on a daily regiment of 10,800 FU to effectively treat atherosclerosis.
