Interesting. Seems like it’ll be less of an issue of one is on keto and uses sglt-2 in the rare occasion of extra carbs. It may even have the opposite effect in this scenario of limiting carb withdrawal related hunger.

Rest of today (after I ate two more avocados + thinslim) am feeling energetic enough.

I’m feeling the “fasted” “low sugar”/“lower noise” feeling that I’m very familiar with rn too. It’s crazy how high blood glucose adds so much noise to your brain + makes thinking MUCH less clear. I mean, sometimes the extra noise helps bolt one into a higher-alertness phase, but this is a blunt instrument that isn’t the healthiest.

Am thinking of unitedpharmacies.md for the rest of the meds soon… hesitant due to the cost but I think I’m going to feel neurotic af If I don’t have a steady supply of a SGLT2 inhibitor now…

was feeling death-levels of fatigue later today, but then i had a phone call that eased possible tensions and then my energy went back up again. Ugh.

Woke up and am feeling very alert (no need for drugs), I really really hope this lasts. I’m also feeling this “clean fasted/keto feeling” [Fuck carbs]. you mentioned the fatigue issues - I might just do less of this.

I ate carrots yesterday w/o any increase in BG!!

[lol this is gonna turn into my personal diary/jounal]…

Regarding Rapa and BP.
I’ve tracked for two years. Never seen a spike and I’ve taken up to 20 mg. I weight only 54 kg so pretty high dosage. My BP is 100/69

Finally falling into the 70s after thin slim breads (carrots yesterday though!!). I haven’t taken rapamycin for a while either. Still need to wait for a day to see if it can hold on the 70s/recover from high fasting glucose.

avg glucose levels have been lower than ever and I haven’t had to eat nuts for the past week. This is good.

One can of black beans and acarbose and it only increases to 90

Seems like you’ve nailed the management of blood glucose levels with your diet and medications!

Still 3 more cans of black beans

Is there a “too much” to how much I post here?

I have no problem with your number of posts. If people don’t want to follow your postings on your personal experimentation they can skip this thread.

One pint of blueberries at the end. God, imagine the rise from 1 or 2 lb of it…

I ate more black beans for barely bump because canagliflozin. ive eaten 4 cans of black beans all of today + 4 entire packages of cole slaw

Jardiance (Empagliflozin) - 25mg (10 Tablets) X 7 = 166.74

Glucobay (Acarbose) - 100mg (90 Tablets) X 1 = 27.08

=> these are coming in 10-24 days. I’ll be getting another package of thinslim breads on thursday. I’m nervous about running low on canagliflozin so the thinslim breads allows me to fill me up til i get my Empagliflozin later this month and after that, i might be able to snack on berries and beans without guilt (I’ll still subject myself to some fruit stress with canagliflozin to see how much it can bring down my post-fruit blood glucose b/c I often miss fruit).

I don’t mind. I’m actually vicariously getting cgm based information through your posts especially reg the effects of SGLT-2 inhibitors, acarbose, etc.

Btw, I think mentioning the time of eating can help us understand the data better, and perhaps you too as you look back on this.

Or is the eating time always where the axes intersect?

FUCK. One lb strawberries and 1 dry pint blueberries (551 ml), then 50mg canagliflozin. Then 1 lb carrots

Now I just took 100 mg canagliflozin and we’ll see.

This is a horrid glucose rise for a modest amount of calories…

You took the canagliflozin after eating the strawberries? That doesn’t work. It takes 1 to 2 hours after injection for canagliflozin to reach peak blood levels. I take it first thing in the morning when I get up - so I know its “there” when I need it at the time I eat lunch and dinner.

Canagliflozin is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It has a relative oral bioavailability of 65% and reaches peak concentrations within 1 to 2 hours. It can be taken without regard to food, but it is recommended that it be taken before the first meal of the day to allow for the potential to reduce postprandial plasma glucose excursions resulting from delayed intestinal glucose absorption.
