That’s true. My personal view is to run a protocol with a number of approaches with the hope that this improves health. My test results (and I spend a lot on testing) bear out that this results in progress in both biomarkers, functional tests and epigenetic tests.

Obviously anyone on Rapamycin.news is welcome to join my own Xprize team as part of my protocol is taking Rapamycin. With me it is relatively infrequently (for what I think are good reasons).

Some of the biomarkers and epigenetic tests have my organ health status as the equivalent of 30 biological years average. (I am 63).

Now 140 one with some confidence: “In our pursuit of “Longevity at Escape Velocity,” we’ve standardized our stem cell product and rigorously tested it on heart conditions. Results confirm safety and show significant efficacy. Our breakthrough allows us to confidently assert a rejuvenation of 10 to 20 years, pushing boundaries towards over 20 years and a revolutionary breakthrough in controlled aging. I’m Dr. Jackson Liu, CEO of HONYA Medical, specializing in cutting-edge stem cell pharmaceuticals.”

If that worked I think we would see more evidence, but lets give it a test.

Now at 152. Some entries don’t seem in any way serious eg: “I live in a van”. However, they are still coming in. Once people have to pay USD 500 I would think we will see quite a drop out rate.

I would expect Xprize to offer discounts on the entry fee to encourage some teams. However, I don’t think “I live in a van” will pass the threshold for a discount.

Don’t disregard people just because they are living in Vans. I’ve heard of Google / facebook employees who live in a van in the parking lot (they get all their meals for free, free clothes washing, gyms, etc.)…

I don’t mind if people live in vans, on boats or whatever. However, I would not base the description of my team for a longevity prize as “I live in a van”. Is that supposed to be how to improve people’s health?

As we move into 2024 I would like to say thank you to @RapAdmin for his efforts in maintaining this forum and thank you to the community to be the best informed biohacking community I have found on the internet.

At the same time there are now 159 applicants for Xprize - Healthspan although none of the new ones seem to have anything interesting to say.

Now 167.

One looks at NMDAR which I have not seen before.

another is acupuncture related

another says: “The Whole Body Breathing team is a group of people who were focused intently on the Jaws Pandemic - the fact that human jaws have undergrown in the past 12,000 years. The most obvious symptom was crooked teeth or wisdom teeth impaction, but on further research we have come to understand that this translates into sleep apnea, poor body/spine mechanics, and potentially dozens of other life shortening symptoms. The root causes of this pandemic are unknown to science, but the WBB team is progressing”

@John_Hemming ive heard this before. My response is to eat hard-to-chew foods (raw carrots for example) and to nasal breathe 99% of the time (working on it).

173 teams “We have found that low frequency ultrasound (LFU) treatment of senescent cells rejuvenates them as well as aged animals. Our team is organized around applying LFU treatments to address human aging disorders based upon positive results with mice.”

181 quite a few new ones from China.

Is there a web link where we can see these companies and their approaches?

They are here:

I checked the list of competitors out… but is there a place where they list the approaches that each team is taking (or is that information not provided?). Do you get access to more information as a team member, on their website?

I get more access, but it is not confidential information.

It seems to have slowed down and because it takes quite a bit of work for me to see which new teams have been added I won’t do this until we have hit at least 190 and I think the figure at the moment is 187. Hence I will check the count every few days.

The target of even 10 years functional improvement is, however, a really hard target to hit. I think my team can do this as I think I have done this to myself and others on the protocol (which ideally includes Rapamycin) are finding they are making progress.

I have checked it out a bit more. If you register on their site you should get access to the details of teams without having to actually join one.

Incidentally if anyone on this forum registers on the site and clicks to join the biohacking team I will accept their registration. At this stage that does not mean any commitment on the registering person’s part or on the part of the biohacking team, but it does mean people will get any emails directed at team members.

Its at 189 now. I will do an update when I next find it either at 190 or above.

I went for the biohacking team and it said it was from Brazil and using AI to help the healthspan
