I don’t know where you get those numbers from. All statins have gone off patent years ago.

Why don’t you familiarize yourself with the science behind lipid lowering treatments, rather than assume you can explain everything in the world with money?
Because it’s obvious to anyone that’s paying attention that money not health is driving the sale of statins.
Statins can be lifesavers for some people. But they are so over prescribed as to be criminal.
If statins are so evil why is Trump on rosuvastatin?
But they are so over prescribed as to be criminal.
If anything, they are underprescribed. They cost jack shit (generics at least), cut down cardiovascular events in half or more and even reduce all-cause mortality.
The only reason people hate them is because youtube shills want to sell you their meme berberine supplement and that’s why they demonize the treatment that actually works. Of course conspiracy theorists eat up everything because BIG PHARMA = evil and only care about money but youtubers = saints who don’t care about money.
Truth be told there is a test to determine who has small particle, dense LDL and who doesn’t. It’s never tested for instead. They just blanket everyone with this drug. The ADP connection needs to be studied before it’s given to 47 million Americans
No there isn’t, because all apoB particles can easily cross cell walls. And even disregarding that, statins lower all apoB particles and increase apoA particles.
The ADP connection needs to be studied before it’s given to 47 million Americans
Or youtubers should be criminally charged for spreading misinformation.

You don’t seem to know any science about lipid lowering treatments, so how do you know?

Please accept my exaggeration. It’s only 47 million.

Whether it is 47 or 100 million, that is not the science of lipid lowering.

Insurance will generally require and pay for the generic version only unless there are unique reasons.
Those prices are more like 6-7 dollars a month in the US. See prices as of right now for 90 day supply:

Just 1 question i forgot to ask, becouse you look like a expert.
Why insurance companies don’t care about the LDL you have, only the HDL. In other words, if you have a good level of HDL you can have more than 200 LDL and be eligible for premium life insurance.
They are the entities that can best predict mortality, why don’t they care about LDL?
Where did you read this, and why did you believe it?

I use the Berkley Life nitrite / nitrate supplement. It’s reasonably priced but not cheap. I know it works, and NO is very important so it makes my top 10.
