I’ll throw this in here again, because Lutein and Zeaxanthan are hard to absorb:

Goji berries work better than supplements because apparently they are too big to make it through a healthy gut. It turns out that goji berries have a lectin that opens your gut barrier kind of like wheat does and this makes them able to come in. Good for the brain, good for the eyes, possibly bad for metabolic things and microbial burden.
