I add things only after adding some almond milk, precisely because I want the temp a little lower when I’m adding things.

When I have “overdosed” my coffee intake I feel tired, have a constant brainfog and feel out of focus and I become irritated easily.

I drink a 50:50 mix of regular light roast and decaf light roast every morning, I’d say maybe 2 16 oz mugs of it or less. I drink it because it is warm and I like it. I add whole milk, a small spoon of cocoa and a little splenda. I have to be careful with caffeine because I’m narcoleptic and take meds for that every day.

What do you mean by “support” for the choline/eggs?

I just enjoy my coffee and put the supplements in a separate glass with breakfast.

I’m a big fan of Purity coffee. I like their testing and focus on maximizing polyphenol content of their coffee. Also I always stock up on their founders roast as they donate to Alzheimer’s research. I add cacao powder (usually CocoaVia but bought some BJ Cocoa recently). Another brand with focus on polyphenol content is Exhale. Great coffee but ships from Europe so I don’t order very often. Have been experimenting with adding Ketone esters (delta ketone). Expensive and too early to tell whether I’ll stick with it.

@shady,
I’d love to hear what you think of the taste of cocoavia compared to BJ. I have not tried CV, but I don’t like the taste of BJ. Thx
I might check out some of these other beans. I’ve been using Devocion, but I chose their beans for no other reason than they were used at Eleven Madison Park.

I have a double shot latte with a scoop of turmeric every morning and that’s all for the day.

I tried the BJ cocoa this morning. It seems to mix slightly better than CocoaVia, but still residual chocolate in the bottom of my mug. I agree, I’m not a huge fan of the taste. It’s more bitter and less of the chocolate cocoa taste that I like to make my coffee more of a mocha type flavor. Certainly drinkable and not bad at all, but taste wise I prefer CocoaVia. I do appreciate his quality control and testing. High chocolate intake concerns me due to cadmium and all of the other contaminants. I try to avoid chocolate flavoring outside of CocoaVia and now the BJ cocoa. I also picked up his Matcha powder to compare to my current product. Will see how that compares.

Thx for the followup! Now I know it’s worth trying CocoaVia. The positive about Blueprint’s cocoa is that it cured my chocolate addiction! I felt I couldn’t buy more until I used it up, so I chose no chocolate instead :).
I didn’t even know he offered matcha. I’m certainly no expert here and only had a brief matcha stint last year when I tried to convince myself I’m a person who drinks matcha. In the hopes of having the wind at my back and landing on a great one to try, I’ll share I ordered from Kettl.

Nescafe - at least 4 cups - and 15 g of glycine

Is glycine really that needed/good though? Though there are conflicting papers/studies on it, no?
In a previous thread someone mentioned caffeine competing for some type of uptake receptor, so coffee effectively block taurine absorption. Sorry, can’t be more specific, but have you heard anything like this?

A lot say go for it. Personally, I think taurine in my coffee the past year led to a better DEXA score from osteopenia to normal. So taurine seems to be uneffected in my morning coffee dose N=1.
Taurine is a naturally occurring amino acid that’s important for the heart and brain. It’s also involved in other bodily functions, such as: Calcium signaling, Antioxidization, Cardiovascular functions, and Musculoskeletal and retinal development.
Some studies suggest that combining caffeine and taurine can improve: Cognitive performance, Physical performance, Balance, Agility, and Anaerobic strength.
However, other studies suggest that taurine might reduce the cardiovascular effects of caffeine. More research is needed to fully understand the interactions between caffeine and taurine.

so what is the conflicting study on it? I think there is conflicting papers/studies on NAC, which is why I am reticent on that. I’ve seen nothing but longevity for glycine. There are questions regarding its relationship with rapa though, for sure, which is why I’m not totally comfortable… I think it can enhance MTOR?
For me it clears my gut issues… One of my afflictions is IBS… and glycine for me has totally made that regular. But it also makes me more virile with energy, I’m thinking taking a quantity of glycine helps replenish my glutathione (if glycine can do that alone, I’m not sure). Isn’t is also involved in promoting creatine and collagen etc?

that’s exactly what i meant. I thought substances that activate/enhance Mtor were supposed to be no good for longevity.
Glycine activates MTOR but it is only a minor effect. Rapamycin limits MTOR in a big way.
The magnitude of effect size is the important factor. I still take glycine even on my Rapamycin days.
