Yes… once you get started the saturation of the medication is such you might skip to every 3rd day on a 5mg dose… or split pills. I have heard from others who reduce dose or split pills. I have dosed every other day. My son 33 years does 5mg pill once a week.
I never have had any sexual ED from finasteride . On it about 33 years. Some people have issues.

I do 5mg tadalafil daily. I asked dr for it due to ED. It is really good for me, other than a small side effect of sinus stuffiness for an hour or two after taking at night.

Blogosklonny tweeted this chart a couple months ago. Not sure who did the study but evidently my doc isn’t familiar with it because he wants me a lower levels

That’s a prospective cohort study, it isn’t able do adjust for all confounding factors.
Similar non-causal U-shape relationship show up for high blood pressure, obesity, high blood sugar, etc, where there are confounding factors that increase mortality and decrease LDL cholesterol at the same time, or decrease weight or blood pressure or whatever. But without the latter causing the former.
Once you use a study design that actually adjusts for all factors, lower is better. They don’t mention this because it goes against their beliefs.

I think for now, I’m going to just stick with the 2.5mg Tadalafil daily (I get GERD, red eyes, and a stuffy nose if I use more) and hope it’s enough for prostate issue prevention.

I like curves!
This graph is my kinda graph.
Bro.
Attia did a prostate and mens sexual health episode with an expert on the topic. He had concerns about finasteride/dutasteride and no longer prescribed them, preferring tadalafil for BPH.

If you’re already taking tadalafil, there is no reason not to use a 5ar inhibitor since tadalafil counters possible sexual side effects. Moreoever, each medication targets different pathways, making the combination (possible with addition of tamsulosin) ideal for treating BPH.

Hi Neo,
I asked my PT if his recommendation for having a backpack with a hip belt was ME specific or for everyone. He said yes
He said, until not too long ago, I wasn’t using my core, so he didn’t want me walking with weight and being a ‘pumpkin on a stick’. In other words, he was worried all the tension would be in my upper back and neck to hold the weight (a known issue of mine). I wear my shoulders as earrings.
He added, for most people, yes, they should also put more of the load lower because the benefit of walking with weight is still there, so do it in a way that has less potential to cause injury.

I don’t want to rain on the weighted vest parade. I have had one for years and used to wear on my walks to and from the train during my commute. I have pretty bad osteoarthritis in my hips and to a lesser extent my knees. The jury is out on what causes arthritis but I can’t help but wonder if all my weighted walks contributed. If you add up all the weighted walks with 20lb vest we are talking 100s of miles.
