I’ve been using Tretinoin (Retin-A, 0.05%) Bausch bought through GoodRx now for 3.5 months. I did have some irritation/flaking but that is history. I have NOT been avoiding the eye area, rather I’m making sure that I’m covering both upper and lower area. I keep about 5-7mm away from the eyelid but use the Retin-A in the “bag area,” and on the upper eye area.

I’m 73 and intend to do a facelift w/ upper and (possibly) lower blepharoplasties in a month or three. I’ve read that use of Retin-A tends to hide lower bags as the tissues thicken. I have not ever noticed any irritation, though I’d suggest going slow.

I do my entire back of hand and forearm, and upper arms, especially the inner arm near the elbow.

I’ve lost 54lbs (now stable around -40lbs) and developed baggy skin and ugh…frickin’ bat wings!

I took photos and will try to take new ones at the one-year mark and upload them.

The bat wings are disappearing but not likely due to the Retin-A, rather due to aggressive weight lifting. As my biceps/triceps increase in girth, the bat-wings disappear.
