I’ll wait to hear from you before I take the plunge :crossed_fingers:

My company, which has 5 star rating, said that they should be shipping it out this week?

I hope so, i’ve got a lot of baby down fine hairs that I can see. They are just dying to fill up on glucose and explode into hair. Hahaha

Apparently my email did go through because I just got a phone call from the company, telling me the order is on its way.

I checked out their address on Google street view. 8 the Green, shows a sign above the door: The Delaware Company House, which appears to be a rental office firm catering to the legal profession (aka lawyers!). Well, I seriously hope it is legit for you. Interestingly, just a bit down the path is the Golden Fleece Tavern.

Not that there is a connection but it did remind me of meeting a friend of mine I hadn’t seen in awhile. I asked him, “Tommy, are you still enjoying law practice?” He replied, “Sure am. It’s a living. Not an honest living, but a living.” Egad!

There’s still hope that the product grows a golden fleece on my head.

I find a manual stamp much less painful than a mechanical pen.

However you are doing needling I recommend using plenty of high strength topical anaesthetic half an hour before with cling film to stop it drying for maximum absorption. A couple of paracetamol also help.

Yes, I use a BLT topical which makes the mechanical microneedling painless for me. Before that it was a form of self-torture.

What exactly is this? I’ve never heard of anything like this.

From Google
BLT topical, or benzocaine/lidocaine/tetracaine cream, is a strong topical anesthetic that’s used to numb the skin before a variety of procedures, such as minor surgery, cosmetic treatments, and microneedling

2-Deoxy-D-ribose (2dDR)

Volume 15 - 2024 | Frontiers | Stimulation of hair regrowth in an animal model of androgenic alopecia using 2-deoxy-D-ribose
Stimulation of hair regrowth in an animal model of androgenic alopecia using 2-deoxy-D-ribose

Recipe comes from the above article:

ARTICLE: “Additionally, we have demonstrated that 2dDR can be loaded into several biomaterials for prolonged release over several days to promote the growth of neonatal blood vessels (Yar et al., 2017; Maryam et al., 2019; Serkan et al., 2021).

  • Sodium alginate, a biodegradable, non-toxic, and water-soluble macromolecule, is an ideal polymer for gels (Wang and Wang, 2010).
  • Propylene glycol (PG) is a viscous liquid used in pharmacological delivery systems for its hydrophilic penetration and antiseptic properties (Mujica et al., 2016). It improves fluid retention time in hydrogels and interacts with intercellular lipids for stratum corneum barrier penetration (Trommer and Neubert, 2006; Victor et al., 2020).
  • Phenoxyethanol is an approved stabilizer and antimicrobial agent, preventing contamination in hydrogels (Nolan and Nolan, 1972).”

The following are mixed together

1 tablespoon of 2-Deoxy-D-ribose (2dDR).

1 tablespoon of Sodium Alginate

1 fluid ounce of Propylene glycol (PG)

1 fluid ounce of Phenoxyethanol

It is a syrup-like substance – I apply with a blub tipped applicator at bed time and let it absorb. In the morning after I shower – I apply and buff it in with a dry towel. I kinda feel like a glazed doughnut. Lol

Note: It took 21 days for mice results. Mice age 30 to 1 human years, so expect results after 1 ½ years. Here we go!

And we are off to the races!

@Agetron Thanks for the info. Is this in addition to finasteride? Is this more promising than minoxidil for regrowth. Why the change?

Hey Joseph… you asked: is this addition to finasteride? Is this more promising than minoxidil for regrowth.

I am still using nightly oral finasteride 5mg and 5 mg minoxidil. These have been fantastic, for my hair maintenance. Scalp hair is thick… healthy no issues. But, the top… crown is not so thick… yet I have lots of baby fuzz there.

I am looking to kick that baby fuzz into full blown shafts of hair. Been using this mixture for about 2 weeks and that fuzz is feeling more stiff. Hmmmm… hoping it will take off. If so, the oral finasteride and minoxidil with this tonic will be my new hair retention therapy.

Giving it a few months. Putting tonic on at bed time… redoing it in mornings after I shower.

@Agetron Thanks. Do you use any sort of micro needling to help minoxidil do its thing? I wonder why finasteride and minoxidil worked on certain parts of your scalp but not others.

You use 5mg of minoxidil nightly? That is impressive I can only manage 1.5mg before my scalp in too wet and it starts getting all over the place.

I believe he means oral minoxidil.

@约瑟夫_拉维尔 Hair follicles that have been damaged for years or decades will take longer to recover and might even need stronger DHT inhibition than what finasteride by itself can achieve.

Yes, I take minoxidil orally and finasteride.

Finasteride is great for keeping your prostate small and reducing cholesterol in your blood… less opportunities for calcium and plaque build up. And, of course, hair retention.

I have not tried microneedling, but if I start to see some success with this new tonic of 2-Deoxy-D-ribose (2dDR); then, I might consider it.

I get mine this Wednesday looking forward to trying it out.

I did read that this 2dDR works because it causes oxidative stress. However too much could damage the hair follicle so combining it with other things that reduce the inflammation response or other stresses might be a good idea??? (Diet supplements exercise you know the drill)

I guess, rapamicin, reduces inflammation so it could be a good combo???

The topical 2dDR I am getting includes these two things:

Copper peptides
Cinnamic acid

Which I hope is also a good compliment.

Living breathing bumbling human experiment untill it’s all over.
