That sounds like made up bs.

Yes, the truth that Akira Endo was taking a statin in 2011, which the 2022 video from Paul Mason didnā€™t mention.

And that he didnā€™t take a statin initially because he believed he could lower his moderately elevated cholesterol with exercise.

In a twist worthy of O. Henry, the man who discovered the first statin learned during a medical checkup in 2000 that his own LDL was rising. ā€œDonā€™t worry,ā€ the doctor told Endo, ā€œI know some very good drugs to lower your cholesterol.ā€ But hereā€™s the real twist: Endo refused the statin prescription. His LDL was only modestly elevated, so Endo decided to try bringing his cholesterol under control by exercising more. Eventually, though, Endo chose to take his own medicine. ā€œThe exercise did not work well,ā€ he wrote in an e-mail. ā€œI am now taking a statin. However, I shouldnā€™t specify which one.ā€

Paul Mason is correct that only Akira knows whether he believes statins can be as dangerous, if it was even that what he meant.

I think we know the answer to that.

Thanks @AnUser !
So as it turns out @Joseph, your definition of ā€œtruthā€ is not the commonly accepted one.

Iā€™m just not understanding your point here. Are you saying statins are dangerous?

Holy Cow! Who knew that a thread on ā€œRed Yeast Riceā€(RYR) would end up being one of the most deeply philosophical threads ever. Ranging all the way from Paul Masson (my favorite drink in college) to Akira (Japanese Genius) to O. Henry to Blonder Witch and letā€™s throw in @AnUser new Avatar - Jim Carrey, just for fun.

****Some amazing shock revelations hereā€¦

Didnā€™t you realize when you showed up for your college protest marches, that your shiny black shoes gave you away?

I love astrology and tarot girls!

Me, too!

The process seems to be working for her. On the next slide of her TikTok, Nova posts a screenshot of her portfolio from the day, showing an almost $300 gain from trading Amazon shares. ā€œ21% return in 8 minutes by trusting my high self ,ā€ she writes. In another video, she posts a screenshot of her monthly earnings of almost $6,000.

All professional gamblers know that if you walk in the Casino and thereā€™s a hot girl at the craps table on a winning streakā€¦bet with her!

Nova (blonderwitch) is one of many TikTokers to ascribe their financial success to their trust in the universeā€”touting techniques like using lunar cycles to buy Bitcoin, and astrology to make $440,000 in crypto trading. Nova shrugs at dissenters. Some people find success in looking at candlestick charts of the market. She can do the same looking at a deck of cards and planetary alignments.

ā€œasking herself the question: ā€œWhatā€™s best for you in your soul?ā€ā€ @AnUser Iā€™m looking at you.

Gen Z has fallen in love with investing. Driven by the fear of missing out and determination to escape the corporate rat race, over 70% of the generation owns stock.
Joyee Yang, 25, a financial influencer who has over $150,000 in assets and 131,000 followers on TikTok, told Fortune she turned to the stock market to become financially independent after getting kicked out of her parentsā€™ house at 19, forcing her to move into an apartment with three roommates.

ā€œI very quickly learned that, holy crap, Iā€™m in this world alone, and I need to either make more money or make my money work for me,ā€ she said.
ā€œGen Z is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel,ā€ Yang said. ā€œTheyā€™re not entirely on their own, or they donā€™t have to work for every single dollar that they earn.ā€

J.P. Morgan famously said, ā€œMillionaires donā€™t use astrology, billionaires do.ā€ Even the American financier trusted the stars to guide his decisions: Rumor has it he canceled his scheduled trip on the Titanic last-minute because his astrologer warned against it.

ā€œThe psychology here is nothing new,ā€ he said. ā€œHow it manifests itself is a little bit different due to technological change and things like that, but I donā€™t think that Gen Z deserves a particularly bad rap.ā€

Itā€™s the new REVOLUTION! and @RapAdmin they might even accept you this time, shiny black shoes and all, just be sure to wear your amulet.

@Virilius forget itā€¦even an amulet wonā€™t help youā€¦

But, the MOST shocking Revelation of all??? Pfizerā€™s favorite son - after being locked away - and undergoing extensive (cult) deprogramming, had this to sayā€¦

Oh, and I think all my future meditation and incense sessions will be based around this:

@Virilius can only make an exception for pot girls.

Lady you are on POT!

I like her dog though.

He has an easier time because heā€™s chronologically youngā€¦ possibly ā€˜obnoxiousā€™, rather than ā€˜assertiveā€™ though.

Time to get in shape @Virilius 50 push-upsā€¦ 50 pull-upsā€¦ no more pills, no more bad foodā€¦
