Perfect… probably do it in St. Louis.
My son lives near that city.

It’s amazing! And I eat nothing like that (almost no saturated fat) and my Calcium score is 300.

As mentioned earlier. I do think guys need a different kind of diet and possibly meats, fats and high proteins foods, probably worked better with male systems. And perhaps vegan diets work better with women… as women naturally have more fat cells… as seen in BMI charts.

Agreed, and not only that but in men the main hormone is testosterone while in woman it’s estrogen. Estrogen is found plenty in plant foods, yet testosterone inducing compounds are mainly found in meat. Obviously, non-scientific but practical way of looking at it.

Statin use moderates APOE’s and CRP’s associations with dementia and is associated with lesser dementia severity in ε4 carriers

@AnUser I support your crusade against LDL and APOE.
You are the most prolifigate at finding articles and studies supporting statin use.
Thank you.

I’m also a fan of statins, but in very low doses. I’m going to try a very low dose myself (even though my blood markers are all normal).

Just took my first dose of bempedoic acid tonight. Here’s hoping for no side effects tomorrow.
As an aside, my latest shipment of bempedoic acid costs 7 USD a month from India. In the US, it costs 395 USD.

Doesn’t Bempedoic acid have similar side effects as statins (joint and muscle pain, stomach pain, etc)?

I have been taking BA from de USA. Really this price that you achieved is tempting, but i’m hesitant about quality this meds from India, as i didnt find a reliable brand.

Bempedoic acid has statin like properties without the side effects. Supposedly. I will find out.
The brand of Bempedoic acid I am using is called Brillo. I’ll measure my cholesterol at my next blood work and I’ll know if it’s the real deal or not. For this price, I’ll take the chance.
It’s made by Sun Pharma which is the largest pharma company in India. That makes me feel safer.
Waking up this morning after my dose last night, I have no muscle soreness.
@LaraPo I was reading somewhere that said you can use bempedoic acid and a statin together. I didn’t get too far into that research as statins are a no go for me. But it may be something you can consider like what @Paiva (below) is doing.

I have taking BA, Rosuvastatin and ezetimibe since 2y ago. Nothing to report except a mild pain in the legs sometimes.

@Paiva How much has your ApoB, LDL, and TG changed?

As i have taking rosuvastatin and ezetimibe for long time then, when i start Rapa 3 years ago, my lipids rose. But decresing again w/ BA add. For now, ApoB, LDL and TG it are around 60-70mg/dc. But i increased ( a month ago) Rosuvastatub a little bit, as i’m intend put it around 50-60mg/dc, mostly ApoB.

Bempedoic acid supposedly is limited to decreasing cholesterol synthesis only in the liver and has essentially no effect in extrahepatic tissues, so muscle soreness should not be a thing. Seriously considering ordering from overseas and adding to my ezetimibe/PCSK9i regimen.

Do you have any sense of how very low dosing of bemp might further lower Apo B if already taking PCSK9i (with or without ezetimibe)?

Numerically, no I don’t, only that I want to get my ApoB down as low as possible with as few side effects as possible. PCSK9i + bempedoic acid + ezetimibe appears to be an ideal combination. My insurance won’t pay for BA since I’m already on the other two and my LDL is already “low enough” from their perspective.

Seems Citrulline may help reduce LDL, TC, cytokines and inflammation.
Citrulline group had a notable reduction in FBS (p = 0.04), total cholesterol (TC) (p = 0.02), low density lipoprotein (LDL-C) (p <0.001) and high-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) (p <0.001). Also, a significant increase in lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) concentration (p <0.001) was observed in the intervention group at the end of the trial.

I am adding 2 mg rapamycin a week to start with as I am never going to start otherwise.
Currently taking 5 mg rosuvastatin a day and 2 mg rapamycin once a week.
