Personally I would not change my med/supplement regimen based on a BCC at all because the effect size (if any) would be so tiny. What would have a HUGE effect (and I see it every day in my dermatology practice) is to prioritize protection against UV damage (sunscreen, hat, sun shirt, etc).

Taking a drug or supplement to prevent skin cancer while going unprotected in the sun is like continuing to smoke while hoping your weekly rapamycin will protect you from lung cancer.

I have just been diagnosed with a BCC. It will be removed via MOHS in a couple of weeks. Like many others, I think it is a long-term effect of sun exposure as a kid. We lived in Australia, Arizona, and Southern California, and my parents and grandparents were not diligent about applying sunblock.

Based on what I’m reading here, I plan to discontinue rapa until the wound is healed.

@Alex_Barton and @Noneyah I assume your surgery (in early 2024?) was successful and you resumed rapa? About how long did it take for the surgical wound to heal completely?
