Has anyone done any tests where they have found that Ezetemibe blocks something beneficial?

@约瑟夫_拉维尔 Glad to know Ezetemibe is not blocking the Omega-3s!

I’ve only been able to get my Omega 3 index to 6.0 despite taking about 2.4 g Omega 3 supplements daily. I’m trying to get to >8. I also take ezetimibe 10 mg daily, and wonder if that may be preventing adequate uptake. Has anyone here had a similar experience and found a way to get around the ezetimibe issue? I know Joseph_Lavelle hasn’t had this issue, but it’s a known issue in the published literature.

I don’t have any insights on how lipid lowering medication might affect the bioavailability of Omega 3s but in your shoes I’d first try to switch up the brand of supplements, maybe try a phospholipid form for a few months and then retest.

Thanks so much for the response.
I’ve been taking DHA extra from Nordic Naturals.
The source of Omega 3s per its label is purified deep sea fish oil. The label says these are in triglyceride form. That’s interesting–I had never considered the difference between triglyceride and phospholipid form of Omega 3s.

I’ll see if I can find a phospholipid form of Omega 3s and retest in a few months–any recommendations on source for that?
Thanks.

Nordic Naturals offers phospholipid form. There’s others too. The uptake should be superior, at least for Apoe4 folks (I have one allele).
