My package just “sailed” through customs (at the India end, in minutes)

How can you trust those medications? Have you been monitoring your blood levels?

Many people here have done blood tests after taking, and others have done lab tests on the products coming out of India: Rapamycin / Sirolimus from India, Lab Test Report on Quality / Purity

Yes, we monitor our blood levels. For instance, when I take Bempedoic Acid + Ezetemibe, I see the correct drop in LDL and ApoB. Also, when I add a locally sourced statin (Atorvastatin), I get the additive drop I expect from research papers. So, yes, the medications I get from India have been the real deal.

I just had a package seized by customs. It contained testosterone, rapa, and amlodipine. The notification letter mentioned only the testosterone as reason for the seizure.

Ouch! Bad luck. I’m surprised they zeroed in on the testosterone in particular, as the other stuff is prescription only anyhow. Maybe it’s the quantity? Supposedly if it’s low quantities and so clearly “for personal use”, they tend to let stuff through. I read on this forum that folks limit themselves to no more than 300 pills/doses in hopes of slipping through. Though I’ve also read like 100 pills seized and 1200 sailing through. It’s a crapshoot. The other thing maybe they classify testo as somehow bodybuilding related and that’s seen as “ick”, lol, who knows.

I’ll be ordering a bunch of stuff next week, and dreading the lottery. My plan is to order from several vendors and hoping some of it reaches me. We’ll see, my lucky rabbit foot is ready.

Yes Testosterone will result in seizure of the entire shipment as it is a DEA controlled substance. If you didn’t have that, it would have passed through just fine. They will send you a threatening letter, and I’d say in general, don’t give them more reason to look at you. But getting a resend of the non-controlled substances is generally not an issue.

If you want Testosterone, just get if from onshore warehouses with HGH.to or XRoids.to - but don’t have it send again through customs as there are risks of prosecution.

Or simply get a physician to Rx your testosterone in the U.S.

My urologist just wrote me an Rx for testosterone using a GoodRx coupon, which enabled us to bypass insurance. The cost was about the same as an order from India.

If you can get a similar drug locally at a reasonable price, I’d prefer that over ordering from India. So far, Rapamycin, statins and testosterone seem to be prescriptions that you can source locally.

Bempedoic Acid and Empagliflozin unfortunately seem to be too expensive and need to be ordered from India.

An update on my GoodRx prescription for tesosterone gel versus an order of from India:

The imported gel consisted of 1% testosterone in 10-gram packets, whereas my physician-prescribed domestic product has 1% in a packet of 2.5 g. So I’m taking only a fourth of what I took before.

I didn’t discuss doses with my urologist, but for both subjective and empirical reasons, I am not unhappy with the 2.5 g. I think the 10 grams was too much. It raised my T level to about 800 ng, making me more aggressive for one and giving me shoulder acne for another. Testosterone has also been implicated in higher BP and an increase in uric acid, symptoms that I struggle with. I will know for sure when I have my acid level checked in about a month.

These negative sides-effects notwithstanding, I did experience all the benefits of higher T. I hope that they continue with the lower dose.

I have an atypical shipping event (according to my India supplier, Apple), and wanted to report in case it might be useful.

I made two orders with Apple, separately, on 11/11 & 11/23, the first being rapamycin (Rapacam sirolimus), 400ct, shipped 12 days before the 2nd package, which was another thing entirely, and smaller.

Both packages arrived together (with correct quantities) yesterday.

The rapa-400ct package had been cut open and re-taped. Also, taped onto the lable side, was a sticky-type note which read in semi-legible cursive “sirolimus”.

My supplier has never seen this before. He assumes it was US customs. If so, they opened the package, saw what it was, labled it, retaped it, and let it go through.

Because I have been assuming that if customs got a look at my rapa, they’d confiscate, I’m pleasantly surprised at this outcome. I don’t know what it means, but I thought it might be useful to share.

Great! So Biocon is what Maulik sells. From what i have been reading Biocon or Zydus seem to be everyones “favorite” for some reason. Thanks again and Happy New Year!

I believe Biocon sold Rapacan to Eris. It should be the same formula though.

This is why people like to buy their medications from India (if not covered by insurance):

Drugmakers raised the list prices on 575 name-brand drugs in just the first two days of the new year, according to drug price research firm 46brooklyn. Drugs for diabetes, HIV, cancer saw price hikes, among others.

For years a 10% annual price hike was fairly normal, but they’ve started coming down in recent years. This year’s median price hike so far is only 4%, says Antonio Ciaccia, CEO of 46brooklyn.
