Got it. I’ve only had the latest once since November 2023.

New in Forbes:

The Elemind smart headband is the first of its kind, designed to help people fall asleep faster and back to sleep quickly if they wake up. It uses patented algorithms and artificial intelligence to read and respond to individual brain waves, triggering acoustic stimulation that, as the company puts it, “noise-[cancels] the brain waves keeping you awake.”

Bold part might be good for @约瑟夫_拉维尔 and @John_Hemming

The team focused on “developing a wearable tool that [could] optimize health in a targeted, personalized way without side effects,” says Perry. The Elemind headband uses EEG monitoring of brain waves to optimize the sleep experience, and Perry says it has helped more than three out of four users

“It’s like noise-canceling for the mind; it reads and responds to your individual brainwaves to help drive the brain from wakeful patterns to restful patterns, helping people fall asleep faster,” she says. Elemind is also drug-free and safe to use for any length of time.

This smart headband works by monitoring and altering EEG brain signals, which are partially in charge of wakefulness, sleepiness and quality of sleep. The product claims to move you into a deeper, more restful state faster and more reliably than sleep hacks like a sleepy-girl mocktail or a melatonin gummy.

“Elemind is a comfy, squishy, compact neurotech headband that is designed to be comfortable in any sleeping position,” says Perry. “You can use it any way you like: to take a nap, to fall asleep, to fall back to sleep

Oh nevermind 20 char

I’ve been tracking my sleep with Oura for a few years now. I never really had issues with sleep. My sleep hygiene is generally on point.
Starting last year though, I had a few bouts of insomnia after waking up at night and not being able to get back to sleep. It resolved.

Now the same thing is happening again, it could be hormonal - I’m a 37 old woman. While I’m trying to figure that out, I’ve been doing the CBT-i to make sure I don’t exacerbate issues. Holy crap is it incredibly difficult. Even with “insomnia” I would get at least 7 hrs of actual sleep according to Oura, but now it’s been a few weeks of sleep compression schedule adventure at 5ish to 5,5 hrs and it feels awful.

I pre-ordered Bía Sleep - Smart, Comfortable Sleep Mask - Control Your Sleep mainly because it offered a free lifetime membership with no subscription and I’m curious about using it during meditation as well.

The Elemind headband may be superior to the Oura ring in tracking sleep since it is supposed to directly measure EEG brain activity, providing a more precise estimate of sleep stages, than the Oura which measures heart rate, HRV, and movement data to infer sleep stages.

From NOVOS - 50 sleep hacks.

Boyden is probably minimally involved…
