Does Maulik ship via Speedpost EMS? Since the VISA fee is high, he does take Wise payment?

Yes, speed post EMS. No wise.com

Just got this email from him a couple days ago. I haven’t followed up yet:

Hello,
Wise payment is now available with us.

Please instruct further

Thanks
Maulik

Is anyone concerned about degradation of tablets during shipping from India? Rapamycin tablets are meant to be stored at room temperature. It is likely that during extended transit from India and through USA that tablets are exposed to prolonged high temperatures.

Maulik does accept Wise, but it it not directly to him. And he charges 5% for that service.
He also takes international wire transfers and my cost for that is $15. So, if I ordered less than $300, the 5% charge for Wise would be cheaper than the wire transfer.

Its a bit of a concern, and people have discussed it here in the past, but its hard to measure the degradation and we really have no idea about the exposure to heat during the trip (but perhaps the bigger issue is in the storage location for months in India prior to shipment). The transit from India typically only takes two weeks, and the delays are typically in the major postal exchanges in India and the US (e.g. NYC).

Nobody here has reported any obvious degradation of the efficacy of the medication (many here have checked on blood sirolimus levels after dosing), so to-date it doesn’t seem to have been a big issue, but if you’re stocking up on rapamycin from India its probably best to purchase during a cooler season of the year.

Winter in India would be approximately December through early March coinciding with cooler weather here, so good idea, as you suggest to perhaps purchase seasonally.
