Hello,
I will be starting my longevity rapamycin dose starting next week. Never taken teh drug before. I plan to eventually work up to 6 mg a week. First week I want to take 3 mg. I only have 1 mg pills. Should I take 3 pills at once, with or without food and wait 7 days and take 4 mg (4 pills of 1 mg) and wait 7 more days…and take 5 mg (5 pills)…?>

Yes, most people do it that way. It’s the conservative solution, because if you have a reaction to it then it will be a little less severe. I didn’t know any better and just started with 6. Barely noticed it.

A little fat with it will give you a little more bang for your buck. Grapefruit needs to be treated very carefully, can multiply the dose by between 3 and 5X. Most try to eat very little for a while before and after. I tend to fast. It’s an attempt to prop up mTOR2. I’ve started taking it just before bed, I sleep better. Good luck,

Hi, welcome to the site.

Most of us use the 1mg rapamycin tablets (Biocon Rapacan or Zydus), and yes take them all at once. Typically in the morning, as it can have a stimulating effect for some people and cause problems with sleep if taken later in the day.

If you haven’t already - read this thread about dosing so you have a full perspective on different approaches, What is the Rapamycin Dose / Dosage for Anti-Aging or Longevity?

Many of us take rapamycin with a high-fat meal, I take it with sardines, for example while others take a shot of olive oil with it. More details here: Improve Bioavailability of Rapamycin (2)

Good plan. I just did 2-4-6 but your plan is fine. I would not recommend grapefruit or anything else that significantly changes absorption until after you have taken Rapa long enough to know if you are getting any side effects.
