Any thoughts on your GlycanAge tests @tahoedenizen?

Unfortunately I had only one GlycanAge test, and the results went to the PEARL trial organizers rather than me. So I can’t add much here.

I have had the experience of wide variations in epigenetic clock results: In one case, I had a blood sample tested and the resulting “CpG methylation readout” data run through about five different epigenetic clock algorithms. I got back ages ranging from 44 (PhenoAge) to 72 (a GrimAge variant) - on one blood sample and one dataset. So I’m more interested in the change in one clock’s result over time.

Exactly… I repeat test to watch for consistency and if I do a drastic protocol… like a high increase in rapamycin dosing… does it move the needle… good or bad.

Ever think of asking PEARL for that test results… was it a baseline before rapamycin dosing?

My biggest rapamycin regret was not doing a GlycanAge test… pre-rapamycin dosing. … since my inflammation level is so abnormally low.

@Agetron I totally get the emphasis on chronic inflammation. How does glycanage measure it that is better than hsCRP, ESR, ferritin, and fibrinogen, as Dr Dwayne Jackson recommends?

Hello Joseph,
With 30 years of experience with accuracy and solid science, they are moving into additonal opportunities in the diagnostic field of mediciine. I have been also pleased with their international presence and reviews at all major longevity forums and personal one-on-one zoom client meetings with their impressive team. Particularly Alex Vojta - Link:Aleksandar Vojta - Department of biology

See below.

The GlycanAge test is not cheap (they do have sales… and takes time (from start to finish about 1.5 months), but for the end user’s part it is easy. Here is their story: A Brief History of GlycanAge – CANVAS, SWOT, PESTEL & BCG Matrix Editable Templates for Startups

Due to the quality of their work they are receiving financila support to the tune of 4.3 million dollars to expand their diagonstic work to disease prognostic biomarkers Link: Croatian-founded GlycanАge With a $4.2M Seed to Revolutionize Health and Longevity with Biological Age Testing - TheRecursive.com

It works it is easy. Everyone needs to find the means to be comfortable with their anti-aging journey and choices. As a means of measurement… GlycanAge is right for me. I am usually right in my choices… research and instincts. Lol.

That must be a comfort. I’m wrong a lot but I keep after it.

I already did.

Issue is that he is using human version of tablets. I can only find veterinary injectable fluid version of Ivermectin.
This is the link to the medication: Ivermectin link
I would take it orally, but I want to see if someone had any experience with it.

Around here… in Missouri, the Amish neighbors are always giving themselves and kids medications for the livestock. They seem sturdy… lol.

My vet that gave me this Ivermectin uses it himself, but once a month 20mg/2ml.

My worry is about taking it daily at 0.5mg/kg.

If it were tablet for humans, I wouldnt worry too much but, cattle version and those additional substances get me a bit unease.

Recommend everyone read Dr. Paul Merik Cancer Care book.
There is also a succinct summary.

hi, @paul ,

first of all, i am ELATED for you that your test results were clear! :hugs:

…and that said,

forgive me if this has already been asked of you, even repeatedly,

as i have not yet read all the way down the thread,

but don’t want to forget to ask you, if i try to read down -

you mention that all you did, was diet …and metformin -

can i ask how much metformin you took?

and can you give a few details about your diet? -

did you go, like, organic? keto?

and

were you able to test clear, Before adding the rapa??

or did you add it, and that was what took you from just stable, to, clear? -

and i just wanna say, if you were able to add rapa …while Already having cancer,

and did not develop metastases …as has been talked about so much in this thread,

…it is really encouraging!

and again, CONGRATULATIONS, and, i pray for your long good health!

hi @agetron ,

can you tell me, how soon after you do your 2mg rapa + gfj, do you do the labcorp test?

and, would you be able to tell me, how the testing “translates” -

does the desired amount in your blood, 6-8 Ng/ml, tend to parallel how many Mg equivalent a person takes of rapa?

(such as, if a person takes 10 Mg equivalent, is their blood level supposed to manifest as 10 Ng/ml?)

THANKS for shedding some light on this for me

So it seems to figure based on what most people on this site say from their experience is – that 1mg of rapamycin = about 3ng/ml.

I take 6 mg weekly and get tested 2.5 hours to 3 hours later get 17 to 18 ng/ml.

So 10 mg equivalent, in their blood level supposed to manifest as 30 ng/ml.

It is said women can go with less rapamycin, so 4 mg would be about 12 ng/ml.

When I take Grapefruit juice GFJ …3 hours before my dose I get the equivalent of one extra 2 mg pill of rapamycin… an extra 6 ng/ml.

I hope that helps.

I started 1 gm of metformin in 2014 a month or so after diagnosis. My diet wasn’t great until about 2017 when I started eliminating sugar and a year later spend a year on a keto diet. Since then mostly Mediterranean diet - don’t really try to buy organic but do preferentially use it. I still eat steak twice a month so I am not vegetarian at all. Started rapa in 2019 and since about 2020 switched from metformin to jardiance an SGLT2 drug. MRI a month ago showed no change at all since 2014.
I mountain bike quite a bit and have a BMI of 19 and BF of 10%. I keep my BG under 80 at night (use a CGM every so often to check it)

Hi @Paul , just want to make sure I’m not misunderstanding -

when you say your MRI has showed no change since 2014,

and earlier in your post you mention you started Met in 2014, 1 month …after… diagnosis,

do you mean that your Cancer is “gone” (well, in remission), or that it just has not progressed?

I just want to make sure I’m not misunderstanding,

because I thought - but am maybe misremembering! -

that in an earlier post you mentioned being “clear,”

and I thought you were “Cancer free” (well, in remission), but again maybe I am misremembering -

and no matter what, I am still so grateful that you took the time to answer me,

and it’s STILL a monumental feat, you having kept the Cancer at bay through healthy diet, and metformin and rapa,

and I will be praying for your continued good health! - God bless you!

.

Well, that is the question - do I have cancer or not?
I was diagnosed with a Gleason 6. That nodule that appeared on the MRI is exactly the same as it was 11 years ago. If you have read the work of Dr Lawrence Klotz - he claims a gleason 6 is not cancer.
I took a Grail test a little over a year ago and it did not detect any cancer. So I have something that shows up on an MRI but is it really cancer?

hm… i want to be Glass Half FULL! ,

and say…

that since the Grail test detects no C*****,

AND, you’re feeling fine,

i think, by the measures that Matter,

you Are fine

(but since there’s some disagreement on whether what’s on the MRI,

qualifies as c*****,

maybe i’m going to temper my enthusiasm -

only slightly! -

that rapa plus metformin Plus healthy diet,

knocked it out -

but just so happy for you that Grail says no c*****, and, you feel fine! -

HUGS to you! and GOD BLESS YOU,

wishing you many more years continued good health! )
