I would rather spaculate that loosing to much weight is detrimental for female mice (and maybe women).
I think also that because BL6 mice are bred to develop cancer, that having cancer and stopping a rapa treatment may not be the best choice (depending on what type of cancer you have).
but yes, it may also be possible that it was just to much Rapa (tu much mtor inhibition) or it has some other unknown effects.
For us humans:
I know that women and men just have different quantities of liver enzymes, but AFAIK the clinical guidlines just saying “its weight dependend and just fuckin test your patient`s rapa blood levels”.
Have you got some statistics for dose dependend Rapa blood levels in women and men?
