I’ve taken PGF2A. It’s not a pleasant drug to take. I would read up on the (rather immediate) sides.

Systemic adverse reactions include nausea and vomiting, which occur in approximately half of the patients and, to a lesser extent, diarrhea.

There is a lot of work being done lately to study the glymphatic system. No one really appreciated that it existed 20 year ago. But, here it is today, and we know it is important.

Here’s an article about using visual stimulation to trigger glymphatic activity. Neural activity induced by sensory stimulation can drive large-scale cerebrospinal fluid flow during wakefulness in humans

Sounds like the glymphatic system turns on while awake during meditation OR in over stimulation states like that article.

Oxytocin appears to have a benefit related to the glymphatic system.

It’s dirt cheap and easy to use as a nasal spray. I take 3 sprays a day of 25mcg = 15iu’s

Nice graphic on how the glymphatic system works to move toxins from the brain while we sleep. I’m “happy” with my oxytocin nasal spray every night before bed

That is a very nice and thorough graphic, thanks!

Any other possible effects you notice from the oxytocin spray?

I too am happy with my oxytocin nasal spray. Along with selank and epitalon, it seems to grease the gears of my memory retrieval system.

I was once in the automatic lubrication systems business and our motto was “if you love 'er, lube 'er” and I do love my brain

It’s subtle at this low dose but I do notice that I’m more calm overall.

I’m often in highly stressful situations, 3 to 5 times a week I’m often close to physical confrontations and do not know what I’m walking in to and don’t know if it will go sideways or resolve peacefully. I’ve been assaulted 3 times in the past 3 years and have come very close many more times than that.

I have found that the combination of Oxytocin and Selank do keep the PTSD’s away. Last year was very different, I was beginning to slip into an aggressive mode more often and was becoming concerned about that.

I start the morning with 2x 25mcg sprays of O and 2x 300mcg sprays of Selank. In the afternoon I’ll do another 2 to 3 sprays of Selank and then just before bed 2 sprays of O.

You don’t need to explain yourself in an open forum, or anywhere for that matter, but you seem to have a mild temperament. Do you live in a sketchy neighborhood?

I live in a well established and very nice neighborhood  many of our neighbours bought their homes here in the early 80’s when they were built.

I work part time for a friend and partner who owns commercial property (15 minutes from our house) and I run one of his businesses part time. I have voluntarily taken on managing one large 23 acre piece that is “vacant” but between 2 city parks on a river. Its a beautiful piece of land. My partner allowed the city to pave a path through his property to connect the 2 parks 35 years ago, way before I was involved.

Our city has a lot of homeless and they love to camp in the woods, which we have 23 acres of. In the past 3 years I’ve cleaned out 37 encampments on my own. I’ve had over 150 “encounters” with the unhoused, mostly OK, some not so much.

Every morning when I get to work, I walk the property, it’s beautiful, lots of urban wildlife, deer, beaver, muskrats, snapping turtles, Osprey (they nest high on an old stack on the property and fish the river), ducks, geese of course and more. Right in the middle of a city of 500k. My walk sets the tone for my day, surrounded by mother nature with a side of potential conflict LoL

Then every evening after dinner, my wife and I do the same walk for our enjoyment. And I get a second eye on it

I’ve seen and experienced some crazy stuff I can’t share, but I do chase hookers and johns off the property 3 to 4 times a week, keep in mind I’m only there for maybe 2 hours a day. That particular activity is driven by the ladies who walk one of the major streets not too far from the property.

It can be a very physical job, hauling hundreds of pound of garbage out of the woods on any given day, but this year has been the best out of the 3 years.

Overall I really enjoy it, my partner says I may enjoy it a little too much LoL! I have a very low fear factor, do not mind confrontations and if it gets physical my 138lb old man strength still seems to be adequate and that is part of my problem LoL!

So I’ve worked at turning that down a few notches. Oxytocin seems to have helped with that.

You draw a great picture, Steve, of yourself and your surroundings. I didn’t imagine that Canada was a land of pacifists, but neither did I imagine you against an army of the homeless. I believe you when you say you don’t mind confrontations. I remember the picture you posted of your bulging bicep. You and @Agetron could clean up that park permanently.

I’m no where near Agetron’s superb physical state but appreciate the vote of confidence

Sadly this situation has no resolution, it’s one of civilizations new realities.

I have good relations with the City by-law people who deal with this day in day out, I talk with police on a regular basis who park on our property and most agree.

The thing is many people think being homeless is only one thing, but it’s much more complex and layered that that. Many groups talk about homelessness as being a cost/expense issue i.e “cant afford rent” and for a very few it is. For the vast majority it’s a mental health and addiction problem. Due to that it’s extremely difficult to sort out a solution.
