Almost every drug tested in NIA ITP works via mTorC1 inhibition or mTorC2 activation
- Rapamycin increases lifespan in mice because it inhibits mTorC1 in both sexes
- 17 alfa estradiol increases lifespan in male mice only and it inhibits mTorC1 (but it doesn’t inhibit mTorC1 in female mice)
- Canagliflozin increased lifespan in male mice only and it inhibits mTorC1 in male mice only
- Acarbose: activates mTorC2 and inhibits mTorC1 (more strongly in male mice)
Do we have any way to measure levels of mTorC1 and mTorC2 expression in humans?

All is off the shelf equipment, cost to do this in the USA is in the $4,000.00 range.
