What specifically do you measure to evaluate mitochondrial function?

All the things about how the body functions. This starts with skin elasticity, the growth of new hair or it turning pigmented from white, improved kidney function, faster insult repair etc etc.

Thanks. This one is very interesting to me. A faster or slower healing rate makes sense as a marker of biological age (for lack of a better term). Perhaps mitochondrial function is at the heart of stem cell and other immune function activity and efficacy, as you suggest. I can accept that.

I know that cuts in my skin take longer to heal as I get older. The only thing that makes a noticeable difference without tracking is red light / NIR. Healing goes much faster.

There are photos on this page of varying speeds of repair of a venepuncture.
