I’ve had three packages from India from different vendors delivered to me on the same day, and none were opened by customs. Remember, it is also possible - though rare - for the Indian customs to open the package; some time ago there was a joint US and Indian campaign to interdict medication being shipped out of India, which resulted in many seizures and long delays. And delays can happen at any stage. I just had a package from Forveda (described in my long report on three vendors), send me their second small package on 10/15 - it sat “preparing to ship” in the Indian post office until today, 10/24 that’s 10 days, before showing up in the US; usually, that process is 3-4 days. So you never know where the package is stuck for longer. It can happen at any stage, customs, or even local post office near you.

I’ve never heard of Indian customs doing anything. Any hold-ups have been from customs on the receiving side. Fortunately, it seems packages are getting through faster for me.

My package of 600 metformin 1000mg’s arrived today. It was open and checked and then resealed with tape. Clearly customs seem to be opening way more [packages now days but meds that are legal (not banned ones) are going through fine.

Came here to post something similar. My package of 600 bempedoic acid/ezetimibe pills stuck in customs for about 3 weeks and I received it today. They opened and resealed it. There was a handwritten tag taped to the box that said “bempedoic.” I’m very surprised it wasn’t confiscated.

It was also the first time the tracking (ship24.com) actually said “held for customs inspection.”

Do any of the suppliers have 2mg tablets of Sirolimus?

FWIW, I used PushHealth to get a prescription for 96 2mg tabs of Sirolimus (Rapamune). This is what I requested and it was approved. Cost was $95 for the prescription service.

GoodRx gave me a cost of $133.50 at CVS pharmacy. So my total cost was $228.50 which comes out to $1.19/mg. I have not picked up this prescription yet, but I have received a previous order this way

Package finally moved out of Jamaica NY after nearly a month there so don’t lose hope if you’re in a similar situation. Pretty sure this is the same as customs.

You mean the Indian suppliers? I don’t think so - I’ve never seen 2mg tablets from the Indian suppliers, only 1mg tablets. But the tablets are small, so I have never really cared if they are 1mg or 2 mg., they are easy to swallow whatever the case.

Your pricing is good from GoodRX - about the same as the Indian suppliers, without the hassles and possible risks (of customs confiscation, lower quality, etc.).

Thought I’d throw this in here because of how ridiculous it is.

A package of mine sat in Customs for a month before making it out, only to be handed over to the military for delivery. Funny thing is, I’m not affiliated with the military and live nowhere near Jamaica, NY. I verified with the seller that they entered the correct address. Calling USPS didn’t help, other than that they confirmed it’s a mistake. Supposedly it wasn’t sent at a high enough level of First Class to be able to open a case to find and reroute it. USPS said the only thing to do is to “wait for it to correct itself,” which I guess means someone within the military mail system reroutes it back into the normal mailstream. I’m not hopeful.

Yeah, that’s ridiculous. It’s completely random. Regarding verifying with the seller if they entered the right address, what they usually do, and if not, you should request it, is to provide you with a photo of the package ready, showing the address. But yes, stuff gets stuck randomly. Forveda sent me a package on Oct. 16, and since Oct. 24, it’s showing as “in transit to the next facility”, they kept updating the date, but finally gave up and now it shows Oct. 28, so they updated it four times, then gave up. Today, Nov. 5, it still shows Oct. 28. Stuck.

Meanwhile I’ve ordered from Jagdish a package he sent on Oct. 24, and it was delivered yesterday, Nov. 4. That’s 12 days. I ordered the exact same stuff from another vendor on exactly the same day, and he actually sent it a day earlierthan Jagdish, but I’m still waiting on it. It’s all random.

I would agree there is some uncertainty about delivery processes. I am in the UK. I had an issue once with a large delivery of melatonin (actually for my own personal use not even my family and hence entirely and totally lawful) but otherwise it has been OK (ie in accordance with the law in the UK). I am awaiting another lawful delivery at the moment.

Question to anyone who has sourced Rapacan Sirolimus from Jagdish in India, do those tablets come wuth a coating similar to Pfizer Rapamune, or no tablet coating?

Yes - both the Biocon / (now Eris) Rapacan, and Zydus sirumus both have a coating to increase its bioavailability in the intestine.

UPDATE: the second package Forveda sent on Oct. 15, just arrived today in LA, CA, Nov. 12, so a month. Worth noting, that the package was the smallest one, about 4"x5", with the smallest number of pills. It was unopened by customs as far as I can see, so the lesson is that packages can simply take a long time to arrive, and it doesn’t mean customs opened or inspected it. YMMV.

I’m still waiting on more packages, and observing patterns.

I just put an order into India for Raiden metformin and several other items. However although my bank confirms the payment went via the transfer, the pharmacy is saying they have never received the money… now I have read that it could be because of the bank. I am still not sure whether I have been ripped off or whether he is being honest about the money, not being received into his bank. This was sent three weeks ago.

I went through the list and it looks like there’s a few (I’m not allowed to put links in, so find the links in the top post):
2/5mg: varunmedicals
2mg: gppharmaint
2/3/5mg: forveda-online-private-limited
2/3/5mg: rite-care-nagpur

These seem to work out cheaper than the 1mg ones. Except for the suspiciously cheap 1mg ones in gppharmaint which are $<2 per strip of 10. I’m guessing that’s probably an admin error though…

Jagdish has eventually completed all of my orders, regardless of the payment method.
Currently, I have been happier using other vendors.
Text or email Jagdish and ask for help with the problem.
Don’t hit the panic button until at least 6 weeks.

Today we have ordered through Jagdish, we have ordered from him before but the new Pharmacy was cheaper, not always better  so you think we still might get our order that has taken 3 weeks and still the money hasn’t arrived in his bank ? Thank you for your reply

UPDATE: To my great surprise, this package was eventually delivered about 2 weeks. The “tendered to the Military” line is totally gone from the tracking history. The package was definitely opened, but everything that I ordered is inside. Unknown whether this was done at Customs, or somewhere else along the way.

My package from Oddway International just arrived. It sat in US customs for two weeks which was a bit concerning, but this was no fault of the vendor.

Very competitive prices. I ordered 500x 1mg Rapacan brand sirolimus and a 90x 10mg box of Jardiance.

The box of Jardiance was unopened while the Rapacan blisters were removed from their packages for shipping. They still included the folded up Rapacan packages and package inserts, which was a nice touch.

Highly recommend this supplier.

Nice! Out of curiosity, how do you know your package sat in customs for two weeks? If a package has been opened by customs, if they don’t seize it, but let it go, they seal it with a special tape that identifies it as coming from customs. Did your package have that tape?
